Good texture

I got a sample of this in Ivory which is described as "fair to light with yellow undertones." My skin is definitely fair to light, so I was optimistic. Unfortunately the yellow is way more than an undertone, so I couldn't wear this for a full day to truly test it out. When I wiped it off with a cleansing wipe, it was seriously YELLOW on the wipe. I would love to get a sample of my correct shade in store to try out, because the texture of this makeup is DIVINE. I almost never use liquid makeup because I prefer a powder finish. This is liquid makeup WITH a powder finish and it feels smooth as silk on the skin. As long as you are able to go to a store to test the shades, I would definitely recommend this. The texture is so wonderful, I would say it's worth the price if you can afford it.

Don't see what others are seeing....

Like most other reviewers, I got this as a sample from Sephora. It was a small packet of foundation that only lasted me two uses but during those two uses, I got the same result every time. Just because this foundation is way pricier than any other foundation I've tried, doesn't mean it performs any better. I love the silky smooth powdery texture of this and how it's mattifying but doesn't look c...read moreompletely matte so my face doesn't look flat. However, within an hour it looked super cakey and sunk into all my pores and fine lines. The foundation started to break apart on my face and oxidized really bad to an orange look. Not a very attractive look at all. I have never felt so insecure about a foundation before that I'm afraid would make me look like an Oompa Loompa within an hour.

Fair

I didn't want to love this foundation. It's exorbitantly expensive. I received a sample in a Sephora order and gave it a try. It worked out pretty well, more so than any other foundation I've tried to wear, so I went to my local store to get colour-matched. It says you're not supposed to apply it with a sponge, which I was annoyed with because my Beauty Blender is my most favourite tool, but after trying it I figured out that it just plain wasted too much product by being absorbed by the BB. With an ELF stippling brush and fairly small amounts, however, my oily, red, large-pore skin faded away and was replaced by even, matte skin. It did not fade all day except when I would sneeze and use a tissue, which is expected. It did not transfer. While it might have felt a bit oily when I touched my chin - and it did occasionally - it looked flawless and not shiny at all. Because of the huge colour difference between my regular, red skin and the colour I am with this on, you can tell I am wearing makeup, but ain't nothin' in the world that is going to make me look natural and I did not expect that from this product. It turns to powder fairly quickly so I would advise working in small areas at a time and not using setting powder, which just makes it LOOK powdery. I have used it with or without primer and it does stay on better with primer, but it lasts a whole work day without when I'm lazy. After applying, it didn't react or have any problems when I dusted blush on top (I've had foundations that pill up). It is expensive. It's picky in application. But it does what it advertises and it looks great. Hopefully I use so little of it at a time that it'll last me an amount of time that $55 should.

Amazing formula

There are a few things I love about this foundation, and one big thing I don't like. For the likes: great, buildable coverage. If I want something light, I can use one pump of foundation for my whole face. Its very light, weightless coverage that smooths out any imperfections (small acne bumps, bits of minor discoloration, etc.) and gives me a natural finish. If I need a bit of extra coverage, I use one additional pump (or even just a tiny squirt of foundation to use as concealer) and I'm good to go. Here's the reason why I didn't give this product a full 10. The pump. The product is liquid to powder, so its a bit thicker than your average liquid foundation (but again, goes on weightless). The pump clogs and when it does, it doesn't pop back up after use and foundation can fly out uncontrollably at times. This is fixable by simply unclogging the nozzle, but at $55 for a bottle, I'd expect more. However, this pump issue isn't enough to stop me from buying this product again. Also, this product lasts forever! Granted, I like fairly light coverage so I only use one pump of foundation at a time. With that said, my current bottle is about half empty and I bought it it six months ago.

Just Immaculate

I find that foundations are sooo different and can be very hit or miss. If I added up all the money that I have spent on foundations that don’t work, I could have myself a cute little cottage on the beach. Well only you can answer that question but I am here to say that I have found a fantastic foundation that not only has me convinced to “invest” a bit more to get the results I want, but the investment is totally worth it! Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation is amazing! I used this foundation for a week straight and it really does everything it promises. This foundation provides a matte, velvety look to the skin, controls oil all day (and I really mean ALL day) with the use of cashmere kaolinite clay and it camouflages imperfections. It also includes phytostem edelweiss and lavandox, which are powerful anti-aging ingredients. The texture if very light and airy and does not cake at all. You can not feel or tell you are even wearing foundation. There are about 16 shades to choose from so you can find the right one for you! Is there anything this foundation can’t do??

Great for both type of skins

Love this foundation, good coverage(can also be built up) and it looks great in pictures! Must try for oily skin, i never put powder on after and it stays matte all day long, i dont even blot anymore! It also works for people with combination skin
