Shouldn't even be called lip stain

I got this product as a young teen, and while I haven't used it in a while, it was my first lip stain so of course I'll always remember my disappointment when it was terrible! This "stain" is a bit like a felt-tip pen, but there is practically no product release when you press it to your lips. The lip balm that comes on the opposite end is nice, but not worth keeping the whole stick for. This was ...read morevery dry and gave off little color - what little color I got out of it was blotchy and uneven, and what little blotchy and uneven color I got did not stay for long! Would not recommend purchasing; I will always pass this by in the drugstore.

    Not a winner

Bought this in flame because I liked the idea of a lip stain. I'm usually a lip gloss or tinted lip balm girl but I wanted to try using something that had more lip lining possibilities. Anyway, the color "flame" is actually a pretty nice redish pink color. However the balm was terrible and ended up breaking off and then melting within a weak of purchase. I still use the stain tip once in a while b...read moreut I find that you have to put lip balm on first to get it smooth and as a result it doesn't wear long. So yeah this product is not a winner.

    Great for a cheaper product

I put together makeup kits for brides all the time, and have looked all over for a stain that has vibrant colors and doesn't transfer, but of course doesn't cost the earth. Contrary to what a lot of people have felt, I LOVED the applicator, I feel like it gave a lot of control for applying, way better that a gooey stain that you have to worry about getting an even consistent amount of color everyw...read morehere. And it DOESN'T BUDGE. You could makeout and it won't transfer. Of course, like any other lip color you have to reapply it every so often if you want the color to stay vivid, but applying a lipstain three times throughout your wedding day and not having it transfer seems too good to be true. Definitely a fan.

I don't know why, but this lipstain makes my lips freakin' dry! Oh what? What did you say? There's a moisturizer on the back? Uhhmm YEA Mines broke the FIRST time I got it!!! 80% of the moistrizer stick on the other side chunked off, but I did use the other percent and I actually LOVED it. HOWEVER, the stain part -.-. Uhm Yea I don't know why, but it barely applies unless you flick it really hard ...read moregetting stains all on your wall! t's a pretty color (I got a red), but you have to do way too much. Worst Product Ever.

I had the misfortune of buying three of these before I tried them and realized they are crap. It's not the fact that the shades don't match the colors they advertise that bothers me the most but they dry out almost immediately and are then completely useless. The applicator tip is like a marker. What happens to a marker when it dries out? You throw it away.

    Really ...

I love lip stains. And I thought this one would be great because of the balm. First off the color was not what I expected, but it was not too bad. But I then went to put the balm on and the balm part broke. Really .....

    Beautiful shades and long lasting.

I just love the way this stain makes my lips look, it makes them stand out and sinks in so much that you might not know I'm wearing anything even with the brighter shades. Perfect for a natural "no-makeup look" which I prefer to gooey lips that get on your straw or glass. I originally bought "Midnight" and loved that color so much that I bought "Flame" and "Frenzy" as well. My favorite is Flame as...read more it is pretty warm and orange as compared to many lip shades that appear to be orange and then show up more hot pink. As for the balm it isn't anything spectacular but it's nice and convenient although it broke on one of my lip stains because you can't wind it up or down. Overall I am very impressed and I have tried many lip stains.

    Don't like this product :(

I bought two colors during the CVS 50-75% off clearance sale for the beauty items that were being discontinued or re packaged...I loved the colors ( I got crave and Flame) but didn't like the application process or the product :( I diffinitely will be saving my money by not purchasing these again...I only paid about $2.25 or so for each but could have spent that money on other clearance products...won't purchase these again

    Not for Me

I confused this with the Revlon Balm Stains, so I picked this up at Ulta, tried it, and wondered what all the fuss was about. One shade just looked awful, and the other reviewers are right in saying that it dispenses unevenly despite the felt tip and I had to use my finger to blend it in and keep it from seeping away from my lip line. I kept one because I thought it was a nice red (Flame), but I will be staying away from Revlon's Lipstain+Balm in the future.

It's like putting marker on your lips

I HATE this product. I returned it after using it a few times. I liked the balm, it was like a regular lip balm but the stain was terrible. It looked exactly like a marker and it was like you were trying to put a marker on your lips. It was super hard to apply and it kept drying out. I thought it was only me or the one I had bought but I see other people feel the same way. Do NOT buy this!!
