Moisturizing Lip Stick
I have the shade 285 pink bombshell which is very similar to my natural lip shade so honestly I can't tell how pigmented it is. I do LOVE how moisturizing it feels on my lips! It almost feels like a lip balm. Has a nice light scent to it. When Revlon’s Lip Butters hit shelfs, I could not get enough of them. The buildable color, moisture, and shine all in one tube was too good to be true and I was instantly addicted. One advantage to the ...read moreColor Whispers is the selection-I personally find it cover a broader spectrum than the Revlon line. However, a disappointment was the amount of product-the tubes are thinner than the standard, and product barely fills half the tube, if even that. For the price and the thinness, I would like to see a full tube. It kind of reminds me of paying for all the air in a bag of chips. As for pigmentation, I have found this line to be unpredictable, which is both exciting and annoying. Some colors, such as Cherry On Top, are buildable and bright, while others give no color at all, no matter the amounts I layer onto my lips. So I have found it most rewarding to go for the boldest looking colors. I hate shimmer, which is present in a few of the Lip Butters. I haven’t yet found a Color Whisper with shimmer. As for staying power, I find it to be quite similar to the Lip Butters- certainly not all day, but at least a couple hours. I find the formula to be a bit more moisturizing as well. Overall, I am quite glad to see competition with the Lip Butters, and I recommend them to anyone who is a fan of this realm of balm/gloss/lipsticks. Great sheer lipstick
This was a great addition to the explosion of tinted lip balms that occurred a few years ago in the drugstore. These really do feel light and comfortable on the lips and the coloration is sheer-to-medium. It's a nice lipstick for people who like glosses but want something in a stick form. Love IT!
I actually like these more than the revlon lip butters because these feel so much lighter. The revlon lip butters feel heavy and some of them have shimmer which leaves huge chunks of shimmer when the actual lip color fades. I also like the colors more in the whisper collection. FAVORITE LIP PRODUCT!!!
When it comes to lip products I am extremely picky. It took me awhile to wear anything more then a tinted chapstick. I am not very bold when it comes to lip color ( think deep reds) and this line is PERFECT!!! Its truly a whisper of color. The colors aren't too much but they are more then just a tint. My lips don't feel chapped or streaky and the color doesn't tend to wear off super quick like som...read moree drug store brands not labeled for long wear. My favorite shade is "petal rebel" its such a gorgeous bubble gum pink shade but not too over the top that I feel like a 14 year old ( no offense). I definitely love this product. I have three of the colors. I have Rose of Attraction, Pin up Peach, and Who Wore it Redder? I really love Rose of attraction. It is a your lips but better for my lips. I have a pretty pigmented set of lips. (that sounded awkward to say). Pin up Peach gives a nice, not too orangy coral shade to my lips with a slight shimmer. The revlon lip butters also have a lot of more shimmery shades, so you might not want to look at those when you check them out. The color whispers seem to have a little less moisture than the revlon lip butters, but I think that the color whispers tend to be cheaper in general, So far so good! would overall recommend these. Not worth the money.
It's so sheer and doesn't stay true to the color. If you do purchase one of these, get one that's not a light shade of pink because it comes out so sheer that it's practically nothing.
