An Awesome "Fix" for Troubled Hair!
I wish I could return to the days when my hair was untouched by artificial color--the natural auburn hue was incredible. My locks were hardy, healthy, and full of sheen. Not only did color begin a downward spiral, but an injury I endured caused me to have to take massive doses of Prednisone to control pain. The Prednisone is over--too much, obviously, has an adverse effect on one's body. But it contributed to hair damage. My hair began to thin, lost its luster, and broke easily. One stylist after another had asked me what I did wrong as I had straw-like layers and ends trimmed away. So I decided to completely overhaul my hair routine: 1) I now wash only every second or third day; with a dependable shampoo, my hair is still full of volume (I used to wash every single day, sometimes twice in the summer); 2) I use cool water when washing and cold water to rinse, as it seals hair's cuticle; 3) I allow my hair to air-dry whenever possible. I switched my hair dryer to an ionic one with a diffuser. While it takes longer to dry, it is gentler; 4) I always use a great thermal protectant product before drying; John Frieda's "Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Thermal Protection" has worked wonders in ridding me of parched strands; 5) I sleep on satin pillowcases. The less tug on hair and skin, the less damage that is done; and 6) I've committed not only to a great, moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, but an excellent deep-moisturizer and use it regularly. My new favorite is L'Oreal's "Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm." Yes, the claims on the label drew me in. It is supposed to "repair up to one year of damage in one use" (wow!). It is meant for hair which is dry, chemically treated, weak, rough, dull, dehydrated, and with split ends. The tub had my name written all over it! Would it live up to its claims? A resounding YES! I apply after shampooing to wet hair and massage through to ends, leaving it on for at least five minutes. My hair feels like satin when I rinse, without a heavy, greasy feel. Dead ends and fly-aways are less visible. There is sheen once more. This is the best deep-conditioning product I've tried in ages. I highly recommend it! — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Wonderful!
It is a wonderful product even though it is a drugstore product. I love this one! The mask does help a lot with damaged hair. It leaves it soft, manageable and just really shiny and nice. The only thing it does not repair is the split ends, but I could tell right away the difference this product made in my hair. The smell is quite pleasant and it is just an overall ten! Love it and will continue to use and recommend to those with damaged hair. — 3 days, 21 hours agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Best Drug Store Mask in a Long Time!
I haven't had great luck with drug store hair masks but thought I'd take a chance on this one. I am very pleased to say I was pleasantly surprised! I have very long, very curly hair that is fine in texture but I have a lot of it. With the winter being so brutal here in the Northeast, my hair has been very dry, very brittle and generally dull looking. This mask fixed all of that in one shot. I can't believe how healthy, full and moisturized my hair looks now. It sealed my splitends, added much needed hydration, brought back the shine and all of this without being heavy and weighing my hair down. I am using this 2x a week currently and continue to get excellent results. I went and bought the daily shampoo and conditioner as well. I would recommend this mask and will continue to purchase it. — 3 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

L'Oreal Total Repair 5
I received a sample of this in my Sunday paper. I tried it yesterday and it's great!!!!!!!! I have color treated hair and live in Florida with sun and humidity. I have been using a deep conditioning treatment that is very expensive. This does just as good job if not better. My hair is shiny, silky and just feels great. I'm going to my local CVS today as the sample came with a coupon and it's on sale! — 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great hair hydration
I have been looking for something to treat my color and heat damaged hair. I color my hair every 6 weeks with highlights every 8 weeks, blow dry every other day and flat iron every day. The last few times into the salon my stylist said my hair was looking damaged and sad. I picked this up as soon as it was availible in my local store (actually got the last one!) and I have been very pleased with the results so far. My hair feels silky and well hyrated and I have noticed a reduction in split ends. I'm hoping with continued use that this will make my hair look much healthier than it has these days! I have not yet used the daily shampoo and conditioner as I am still using my EverPure Smoothing shampoo. — 3 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 6 people said helpful
