Doesn't lather

I received a bottle of this shampoo from total beauty to review. I gave this shampoo over two weeks using it every day for the first week and every other day by the second week. My first impression was, where is the lather? I thought perhaps I had too much build up in my hair , so I used my neutrogenia anti-residue shampoo and tried it again the next night. Still no lather, when I tried to rins...read moree it out, it felt as though I had some type of residue left behind (a pet peeve of mine when it comes to hair care). I was still excited to see the difference it made on my color treated hair (I partial foil with a non bleach highlight & lowlight) every 5 months). I styled and nothing. No amazing shine, no "wow". My hair actually seemed more weighted at the roots. So as you can see, I'm not impressed with clairols attempt at Pro products at a drug store price. I didn't care for this shampoo at all, I didn't even hand it down to my husband (who uses whatever I do not use:) . I give it 4 stars for the clean scent.

Eh

I liked the smell of this shampoo. It lathered, OK. After using the shampoo for 2 weeks, my hair started to feel very dry. So I took a one day break went back to my normal shampoo, and returned to the clairol brand, again my hair felt dry and it was hard to style, my style is medium length with long bangs, I felt that my hair was flat and became prone to static. I took another break for a da...read morey, returned to clairol shampoo, and same thing, hair was dry, sort of frizzy at my scalp line and flat. After a few more tries, I couldn't stand it any more, and threw it out.

Not impressed, not dissapointed

I was not impressed by this shampoo but was not disappointed either. It's very hard to judge whether it really repairs hair because I didn't use this product alone (w/o conditioner), and I tend to think that conditioner contributes a bit more to restoration of hair than shampoo. This shampoo definitely did not "strip" the colour, didn't dry the hair out and did pretty decent job on cleaning. Howev...read moreer, I didn't like the scent. Clairol is more known for it's hair dyes and the scent of this shampoo strongly reminded me of one. I guess, that's what "professional" stands for because a lot of salon products tend to have this kind of smell. Another thing I didn't like was bottle design. It looks better in picture than it does in real life. Very weird and unattractive colour scheme, not like it's crucial for shampoo but objectively this shampoo bottle was visually less appealing than any other packaging on my bathroom shelf. I got this shampoo for testing purposes through TotalBeauty and I am not likely to purchase it for myself, Overall, it gets the job done but compared to the other products available at the market it doesn't stand out at all.

Clairol Professional Repair Daily Shampoo

This shampoo left my hair feeling soft and tangle free. I normally need to use conditioner but this left my hair silky smooth.

I was a bit disappointed.

Clairol is definitely a solid, reliable brand, so I was eager to try this on my color treated hair. The cleansing of my hair was fine, but after each shampoo, my hair felt extremely dry and tangled, and I had to use extra conditioner each time. I've never had that happen before. I saw noticeable color fading, as well. Thank you for letting me try it, though.

Amazing

I got a free bottle of this to try out. I just recently went on the look out for more and forgot to review this. It's amazing. I've never had a shampoo that washed out and left my hair still feeling silky. It's amazing.

Only half the story...

I received this shampoo as part of a promotion so haven't tried the conditioner. The shampoo works fine, but I always judge products by how they work together--so without the conditioner this was tough. It has a great smell, so I'd love to try the pair.

Good shampoo

I will say I really have long hair but not good quality its dried, non silky and non shiny I also wish I can get beautiful hair. But none of the shampoo I used is great for me. I can say clairol shampoo are good to clean otherwise nothing greater than this was seen and little softer

Shine on!

Quite pleased with the shine it afforded me. Gentle lathering, nicely scented. I've never believed that a shampoo alone could bring shine along with softness until I encountered this product. Maintains color well, too.
