    PRAVANA Silk Degrees Shine Serum

Hi, I am a hairstylist in very sunny but very very humid Florida. Pravana Silk Degrees Shine Serum is my absolute "best friend" hair product. First let me start by telling you why I only gave it nine. stars instead of ten. 1. I really wish it had a heat protecter in it and 2. It's probably too light wieght to really help thick & coarse or very badly damaged hair. My hair is more towards the fine s...read moreide with some fairly damaged frizzy ends and it turns my hair into frizz free awesome-ness. It doesnt get greasy like many others do and unlike a pump actionbottle, the push top makes it easy to get the right amount of product out. As always though, don't pour too much of it in you hand and try to smack it on dry hair right at the root, that will make anybody look greasy with any product. The trick is the RIGHT amount. Start small and work your way up...you can always add more but a 2nd shower and hair washing is a big time killer. I recommend using it first on clean towel dried hair by using about a little smaller than a dime size to about a nickle depending on your hair type ( dont worry this isnt all you"ll use) and rub it into your hands good, you want to almost warm it up. Now start at the ends of your hair just running your finger through the bottom and rubbing your hands every couple swipes to move more product on your fingers. After a few times of that take your palms and sandwich your hair between them wiping the rest off onto your hair. Try not to go above the base of your head, think just the hanging longer hair. I usually flip my hair to one side and do this then again on the other side and I'm good besides a couple spots I have that are really fried. For those parts I just give them some exrtra attention once my hair is about 80% dry and I can really pick them out from the rest. Brush your hair with a wet hair brush and do whatever you do to dry it. Once dry you can add more to more damaged areas and do a final SHINE swipe, this is when you get near the root, I stay about an inch away. Be very gentle while applying to wet hair, you dont want to do more damage and create more frizz. BTW it smells amazing. Pravana Silk Degrees Shine Serum is over all great, it's the one product I always have and never switch to try something new thats out. This also goes with a demi-permanent shine "color" its just a clear coat mixed with this and applied like color and left on under a dryer for a bit...It definitely makes your hair shiney but could last a little longer...Again the smell is mine, my husbands and anybody else that catches a whiffs' favorite smell :)
