Cleans well but irritating
It cleaned my skin well, but made it red and irritated. It is inexpensive, but has too much fragrance. I would not recommend this for regular use and for sure not for sensitive skin. Neutrogena has other much better cleansers. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Great sheen but the formula is harsh
I got a sample of Neutrogena Visibly Bright Daily Facial Cleanser in my Target Spring Beauty Bag back in March. I have a bad history with Neutrogena skin care products, they dry out my skin, break me out and they "burn" my skin turning it red, splotchy and oh-so-itchy! Well, since this facial wash says it's a daily cleanser, I assumed it would be safe for my skin (even though their "gentle" products attack my skin as well) so I decided to try it out and see if it "visibly brightens" my skin. The scent is so fresh and delightful, reminds me of pink grapefruit scented products from Bath and Body Works. The cleanser has a beautiful sheen to it, which I'm thinking is what makes the skin visibly brighter. This cleanser decently cleaned my skin, I preferred to use it with my Clarisonic Mia2 though, it didn't leave my skin tight or dried out afterwards. Right after washing with this cleanser, my skin looked brighter, younger and happier - but it didn't last very long. When I applied my facial lotion and sun protector that bright and youthful sheen disappeared. If you have Neutrogena-friendly skin this would be a great product to try. I really wish it didn't attack my skin because I love it's brightening effect, even if it short lived, it makes me feel good when I look in the mirror. — 8 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

I've used better cleansers
I had high hopes for this cleanser since it is Neutrogena, however after trying it two separate times for at least a week or two each time, I had to get rid of it. I'm pretty sure the brightening effect is due to the pearlescent color of the face wash, since it looks like it has a golden sheen to it. The smell is nice and it suds up nicely, however my skin couldn't tolerate this face wash. After a few uses, my skin felt rough and bumpy, got red and itchy, and started to peel and feel really tight. I used to have great results with Neutrogena face washes, but this one just didn't work out well for me. It did get all my makeup off, but most cleansers are able to do that too without irritating my skin so much. — 2 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
