Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Reviews

First time user
I bought this on sale in the summertime before BB creams were huge. Anyway, during the humid months, this didn't go anything good from me other then melt off and turn greasy, however now that the air is cold & dry - this is perfect for my combination, acne prone skin. My skin tone looks even with this on and I've noticed over the last week, my skin overall looks better. Today I used a light dusting of mineral powder and my face is glowing and looks flawless without looking made-up or overdone. I'm hooked for the winder months! — 3 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 6 people said helpful

HORRIBLE texture, blend & color.
I have a fairly universal skin tone and I tan easily, but I'm naturally very fair skinned, with pink undertones. I've been using BB creams for years, it's an Asian thing, but now seems to be a Huge FAD in the states. For those who are new to the BB scene, in Asian especially the Korean brands,t hey tend to be on the fair side that have a bleach quality for the skin. I was looking for something for the spring & summer season's when I get more color and since this was the first on the market, I figured why not try it. Of course I didn't believe the so called great reviews because they were obviously not veteran BB cream users. This cost me about $14.99 which I could've spent on starbucks instead. The color went on unevenly, and it made my skin look ruff or like I got a horrible self tan on my face. It's blotchy and watery. This is by far in my top 5 worst products Ever buying. I've tried using it for other things and even mixing it, to not fell like I've wasted money. Cost doesn't bother me if it's worth it, but in this case, no matter how low the price is, I feel so gypped. — 6 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Tried & Like It
I had been curious about BB cream for awhile but didn't want to spend $30+ for it. I bought this at CVS. It's quite a large tube as you only need a small amount. It evens out my skin and provides good moisturization. I think the spf could be higher but I use my sunscreen before applying this. It hasn't made me shiney and I've noticed my blush has stayed on all day. I apply a light dusting of mineral powder over it to help set it. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 11 of 12 people said helpful

Nice feeling
I was very curious to try this when I found it on sale at CVS. As a primer to mineral powder its ideal it does smooth face out and even out color. I also used it on my day off instead of foundation or powder and it can multi-task as make-up too! I do have oily skin but this didn't make me shiny or clog my pores it seems to have kind of a moisturizing while mattifying effect. A tiny dab will do you with this its very thick. This is a really interesting and break-through product I would say, I have only been using it for about 4 days not but I see big things with this! — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 10 of 10 people said helpful

the heavy perfume ruined it
I tried this after reading about it in an Editor's Pick article here, which said it had an average reader rating of 8 (how I wish I’d saved myself some time and clicked through to see the current average reader rating was lower). I’m very fair and so bought the lightest shade. I actually really liked how it looked on – I have mild rosacea, and this product covered it about 80-90%, and had a natural, dewy appearance. HOWEVER I’m also highly sensitive to perfumes, and unfortunately this product is in fact heavily perfumed. My heart sank the first time I opened it and smelled the strong fragrance, but I gave it a try. The first day I wore it, it was fine (although I felt like my head was in a perfume cloud for about the first hour). The second day I wore it, the skin on my face began to sting, and I had to wash it off. Luckily I’d bought it from a store that accepts returns of opened products, and I did return it. If this had been fragrance free, I would have considered it a terrific find. Too bad! — 3 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Definitely a winter product
This isn't a true BB cream. It's more of a tinted moisturizer. It's very oily and my entire face was an oil slick about an hour after using it, so it's definitely only for dry skin types. I might use it for going out really quickly, but I'll skip it if I'm going somewhere for more than a few hours. The other problem I have with it are the shades. The lightest one is too dark for my skin, and makes me look over bronzed. It did even out my skin despite the darkness. There IS SPF in this, which is a plus, but the sunscreen in it makes it super oily and greasy. I have to apply around 3 layers of powder, because the cream soaks up all of it. It's definitely more of a tinted moisturizer as it does almost nothing for covering up imperfections (other than evening out your skin, of course). I wouldn't buy this again. The price is a plus though...you get a really large tube of this for only 12 dollars. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Will NEVER Re-Purchase
After seeing all the hype with BB creams and the Garnier BB cream, I decided to finally go ahead and purchase it in light/ medium at Wal-Mart for around 12 dollars. This product was a total let down. Although the BB cream has a nice light scent to it (which is probably the only nice thing about it), when applied, it is ORANGE. The consistency is quite thick and it has a dewy finish to it that is completely hate but if dewy is the look for you, then you would love this. By the end of the application, I look like a completely shiny oompa loompa. Ontop of the terrible greasy look, this product made me break out with red dry patches around my cheeks and several bumps. I love Garnier's hair products and skin creams but makeup? I'm going to steer clear from them. — 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

pretty good!
While I don't think any American BB cream is a true BB cream, this is a wonderful drugstore tinted moisturizer. I have combination (re: erratic) skin and this has worked well for me. Just enough coverage to even out the bit of redness I have, but it really doesn't look like I have much (if any) makeup on. I have found that it does nothing for me unless I let it set for a couple minutes. I have to set it with powder, but I always use a little powder. Overall: Great drugstore tinted moisturizer. Pretty good coverage and feels nice on the skin. But don't expect any great miracles that you may get from a higher end BB cream. — 1 month, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great Coverage
I have been looking for a bb cream with good coverage to use instead of foundation. I was super impressed with the coverage of this one. I have fair skin and I chose the light/medium shade (I was looking for light, but didn't see that one existed) and it actually matched perfectly. It smelled a little like alcohol when I applied it. A little definitely went a long way- this tube will definitely last me a while. I needed to use a bit of powder to set it because it was a tad shiny, not a big deal though. I also noticed my face felt a liiiiiitle tight in my dry areas, so I spritzed over some Rose Water Hydrator Spray. I have combination skin though, so I'm sure not everyone will experience this. I was very pleased with the coverage. Of all the BB Creams I own, I have been using this one daily and really like it a lot. — 1 month, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful
