Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Reviews

Glorious, Moisturizing Color!
It's rare that you'll find me without my "Tangee Color-Changing Lipstick" or another one of my favorite lip colors or stains, but I received Revlon's "Colorburst Lip Butters" with Total Beauty's gorgeous spring color set. The shades which I received are absolutely beautiful--"Sorbet" and "Pink Lemonade." I was afraid that "Sorbet" might be a little too lively and "Pink Lemonade" a tad too pale, both became glorious, totally wearable shades of rose on my lips. The coverage is very lightweight, and you do get a comforting burst of moisture along with color. I was surprised at how long this hue remained in place. What an absolute delight! Total Beauty chose the perfect shades; I'm going to choose some additional ones! — 1 month, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Lip Butter
just bought this today and I have to say I'm impressed with it. I purchased the Peach shade just because I like to look a little more nude/pinkish for summer and after walking around all day in 90 degree weather and drowning myself in bottled water I did not expect to come home and find it still looking the same as when I first applied! It's very balmy but not heavy which is great for summer and it has a nice frosted/shimmer look to it that is exactly what I was looking for. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 8 people said helpful

Lovely!
This product is very moisturizing and quite well pigmented. It has a bit of a honey smell, like other colorburst lip products. I find that building coverage is a bit difficult, which is why I didn't give it a 10. Also, the colors are a bit darker than indicated in color swatch outside the tube. Overall though, these wear well, are well pigmented, and are certainly moisturizing. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 10 of 17 people said helpful

A favorite
This is a great product, really great. I have it in Peach Parfait and I love it! The texture is hard to describe. Not quite the texture of a lipstick but also not the texture of lip gloss. It is something in between and a truly butter-like texture. I love that! It is easy to glide on your lips, does not have a nasty taste to it like other lip sticks, and the color looks just so natural, shiny and pretty! I love it! Perfect for wearing during the day. Also, it lasts a decent amount of time and the best thing about it is that it does not dry out your lips. The price is really not that bad either if you buy at Walmart, which is where I got it for seven dollars (after using a coupon, regular price was $9). Totally worth it and will buy again! — 11 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 10 of 17 people said helpful

Light, Creamy Shades
I have about five different shades of the Revlon Lip Butters and I have really enjoyed wearing them. They give a glossy finish and are not sticky in the slightest. These are more pigmented than a balm, but less so than a traditional lipstick. The color selection of the range is excellent and each color I have tried, I have really liked. These are just so easy to wear and many shades you could safely apply without a mirror. I would recommend to exfoliate your lips before applying these because they can amplify the appearance of cracked lips. I don't find that these actually help moisturize my lips, but they are definitely not drying like many lipsticks. — 7 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 6 people said helpful

Sheer lippy
This is a great sheer lip color. It is very moisturizing, I only wish there was an spf involved. The product goes on smoothly and there is a good color payoff in some of the colors. My favorite so far is sweet tart. I tried lollypop, but unfortunately the fuscia color did not go with my fair coloring as much as I wanted it to. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 14 people said helpful

Nice Feel & NIce Color
This is my favorite of all the new tinted balms that have recently come out. It feels incredible going on, the colors are very pretty and it actually stays on for quite awhile, unlike a few of the other brands. It kept my lips soft and not chapped during a recent cold as well, always a plus. There are more shades offered then the other brands too. I bought the "Peach Parfait" shade, because my coloring is similar to the actress in the ad, and will be buying several more. Highly recommend! — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

I love it!!!
I have been looking for a great lip tint that is moisturizing but offers subtle color that's buildable, and Revlon got it right. I think this is a great product for those who are lip gloss addicts, like me, that want to venture into lipsticks but want to ease their way into it. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 9 of 13 people said helpful

Creme Brulee!!
Creme Brulee is the best shade that I can find in the drug store. It is a nude shade that is not too "dead" looking or too peach or too pink. I'm so sensitive that 90% of lipstick scents bother me, but this one is so subtle that it will not offend you. It smells like a hint of vanilla, (like a creme brulee!) and usually vanilla is an offensive scent for me, like most asians, but this one is tolerable. It applies like a balm, so soft, smooth, and efforless, and has a shiny finish. It doesn't last, but who cares when everything else is perfect. Balms are appropriate to reapply in public, whereas lipsticks are not, so this one is a sneaky way i can apply lipsticks by swiping it on like a lip balm. You can't go wrong with this one. It's great in winter because this one helped heal my chapped lips by providing lots of moisture and protected my lips, I did't have to sacrifice pigments for healing balms this winter. This one beats the competitors balms that came out around the same time too. Thank you Revlon, finally doing lipsticks right. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 17 of 21 people said helpful

Great quick lip color
The lip butters are very high on the hype. There is a reason. They are pigmented, moisturizing and easy to use. They have some really great colors and they last a decent amount of time. Application feels good, and you want to reapply - even if you are lazy like me about reapplying lipstick. They are at a good price and Revlon often has bogo offers. I need more colors! — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 6 people said helpful
