A great, inexpensive shampoo
I really liked using this shampoo. It seemed to really clean my hair but still left it feeling soft and shiny. I thought the scent was great and I also liked the consistency of the shampoo. It gets sudsy enough to do the job with out being so much that it ends up drying the hair. Aveeno = Love
The first thing I noticed was the sleek shape of the bottle. Very easy to grasp & pop open, even in the shower. I wish all my shampoos came in less bulky packaging like this. The shampoo is very creamy & smooth. It lathers up full of suds, I have hard water here so that is impressive. It left my hair feeling very soft & fine. One of the most moisturizing shampoos I have used, like most of the Aveeno haircare lines. Some people with fine hair might not like this because it does leave a lack of volume. My hair is frizzy, sort of dry & curly with color treatment. Since this does not contain sulfates I was not afraid to use it on my locks. I have not been using sulfate shampoos for about a year now & my hair coloring lasts twice as long this way. The shampoo did not seem to have any effect on my color which is fabulous. Nearly perfect, BUT.....
I got a free full sized sample of this. I tried it for about a week, both with its accompanying conditioner and on other days with my regular conditioner and loved the results. It left my baby fine hair, color treated hair shiny, silky, and voluminous. I do not necessarily buy into the sulfate hype. As a matter of fact, several other sulfate-free shampoos contain ingredients that irritate my scalp. This one does not. Lately, I have been trying to consciously avoid brands that needlessly test on animals. Great Hydrating Shampoo
Nice product line. The Pure Renewal shampoo is gentle, hydrating and leave your hair soft and shiny. Silky
The Aveeno Pure Renewal Shampoo is DIVINE. The shampoo is sulfate free and it makes a difference. The shampoo still suds and a little goes a long way. Back to the shampoo, like I said, a little goes a long way. The suds are plentiful without being drying. Using this in conjunction with the conditioner gave me silkier hair. I normally have to use a leave-in conditioner after washing my hair, but not with this. It makes a difference for my wavy hair. I would definitely use this every single day, but after finding out that Aveeno tests on animals, I won’t be buying this. If you can get past the animal testing, go for it. just ok
This shampoo cleans well and softens your hair and doesn't turn your color brassy. I also like that it doesn't have a strong fragrance. I did have a bit of a breakout on my hairline. Good shampoo, smells great
I received a full sized sample of this shampoo to review. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now to really get a feel for the product. So far, I like it. The scent is fresh and clean and it suds up well and leaves your hair soft and shiny without drying out the ends. It's not a clarifying shampoo, so I did notice that my hair was getting greasy faster in between washings. I have almost waist length hair that is straight and fine. I'd definitely buy this again, just wish that the bottle came with more! Great shampoo, it makes my dry hair look and feel healthier without any heavy scents or making it look weighed down. Works well with the Pure Renewal Conditioner. Not For Fine Hair
I gave this shampoo a fair shot. I tried it both with it's accompanying conditioner and with numerous other conditioners I like, but in every case, I had nothing but "bad hair" days (and that is NOT my norm! Haha...). This shampoo left my hair entirely without volume, unable to hold my usual style, and even a little dull. I've used sulfate-free shampoos before without that being a problem (and this one lathers up much more than your average sulfate-free product). I think the moisturizers in it are just too heavy. First Sulfate-free shampoo I've tried
This being my first sulfate-free shampoo I was expecting it to have no lather of any kind and figured I'd have a limp mess as my hair is very fine. I was pleasantly surprised upon first use as there was a lot of lather! Though oddly enough even with all the lather I didn't feel like it spread through my hair as well as my normal shampoo so I did wind up using lots more product. As for results, my hair felt great, wasn't flat and didn't feel dry either. Coworkers remarked that my highlights looked brighter so I guess that's a bonus.
