I normally steer away from tinted moisturizers because they either make me too oily, or make my skin feel dry because there's not really much moisture in them. Also, I have quite bad skin (regardless of my tireless efforts), so sheer color isn't for me and I have to opt for full coverage foundation even on days when I feel so lazy and don't want to do makeup. When Nars jumped on the tinted moisturizer bandwagon so late in the game compared to other brands, I had faith because I knew that Nars was holding back to create something that was going to excel above other tinted moisturizers. First off, there are NINE colors to choose from--which is plenty more than the average three or four that brands usually make. Therefore, you're more likely to find a shade that is actually going to fit you and you're not going to look awkward with a mask of a different color. There's spf 30 in this too--which is quite common among other moisturizers. This isn't going to leave you with a shiny slick like other moisturizers can, it leaves you with a dewy complexion (hence the name Radiance). What I find that separates this from the other brands is that this makes claims that it can REDUCE hyperpigmentation and even the skin tone in as little as four weeks. I do have a bit of pigmentation on my chin from hormonal acne, but I'm curious to see if I see any improvements (it's far too soon to tell). I feel that I do get quite a good amount of coverage with this--far more than other tinted moisturizers. Of course you're not going to cover everything, but I noticed that my complexion looked SO much more even, even though I could still see a few dark spots. A lot of people are going to freak out when they see the $42 price tag, but they do not realize that you get a MUCH bigger bottle than other tinted moisturizers which are close to price in range. So far, I think you get your money's worth. Even before the tinted moisturizers officially launched in Sephora stores (when they were only available at Nars boutiques), within a MONTH, this product has already created a cult following and in most places are already selling out. Nars Tinted Moisturizer
I have been trying all sorts of tinted moisturizers with SPF and I have now tried the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 and I love it! I tried the medium shade and even though I have light skin, it blended right in! This covered my red acne marks, my sun spots, my hyperpigmentation, and completely evened out my skin tone. This does transfer slightly if you don't use a powder over it. The consistency is not too thin or too thick and a single application was all I needed. This has one of the higher SPF counts but doesn't smell or feel like a sunscreen. So far, I would have to say the Nars Tinted Moisturizer is in 1st place! Good but didn't live up to hype
I bought this after reading so many rave reviews all over the place about it. It does give a pretty glow that's for sure but it wasn't miraculous enough for me to keep it after spending $42. Had it been cheaper, it probably would have been a keeper but the results weren't spectacular enough. Best tinted moisturizer ever!
I went to a Nars counter in New York and got my makeup done by a makeup artist there. She dolled me up and then gave me a free sample of the Nars tinted moisturizer in "Finland". I don't like wearing *too* much foundation or powder and I can't use moisturizers too often or else I start breaking out. I wasn't excited about trying this because most tinted moisturizers don't work for me. When I tried this, I was amazed. It went on smooth, and gave the illusion that I had perfect skin! It gives a nice glow and doesn't feel heavy at all. It's like and powder goes on nicely on top! It covered my blemishes and disguised my freckles I bought it when I was out, and although it was pricey, I know it will last me a long time and it's well worth the money. Great!
Really liked it! It has spf and unlike others that have spf it doesn't make your skin look like you just rubbed butter all over it. My skin tends to get oilier faster when I have makeup on but it went a while without getting oily with this on. I've never given a 10!
I bought this is Rustan's (Phils) because of rave reviews about it. And whoah! Im floored! It does moisturize, even out my skin tone and most of all, give that radiant glow! I'm not a sucker for foundations (its like im wearing a mask) and Im glad Nars came up with this - its very thin and does not cake at all! In the Philippines where the weather is humid, this did not wear out of my skin at all, even when I did not apply setting powder on top of it! Love it
I have older skin, a bit dry on the cheeks, with redness at the apples and chin. This gives nice sheer coverage, no cakiness like others, and is effective. BEST BEST stuff ever!!!
I normally dont buy into the whole tinted moistuizer, but i reluctantly got talked into trying it. Glad i did this is my favorite skin product EVER, and i doubt i will ever stop using it. A little goes along way and it evens out your skin while giving you a beautiful dewy look. This is good for either days you dont want to wear much makeup but want your skin to look gorgeous, or good for the first thing you put on bc you wont use half as much makeup as you normally would.
