Smells and tastes weird.
I tried a few of essence's products prior to these lipglosses and had been pretty impressed by the quality and fun colors that are available at this price point. This lipgloss isn't very good though. I tried it in two colors, a pastel pink and a medium fuschia. The colors are on the less pigmented side, and the texture is a little thicker than your average gloss. They do feel decently moisturizing/aren't drying, but the length of wear is about 2 hous. The packaging is good--the tube makes it easy to see how much product remains, and the weird spongy applicator takes a little getting used to. The price is amazing, of course, but I really disliked the scent/flavor of these. It was kind of sweet but also soapy? I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Amazed!
Essence is one of those brands that you would usually just ignore, but since the prices were so inexpensive that I decided to try it out. I was so amazed the color is great and the glosses aren't sticky at all.
