A Buy You Can't Afford to Miss!
If you've read some of my other reviews, you know that I am absolutely addicted to palettes. It's hard to walk by one without picking it up and generally purchasing it. When NYX introduced their "Butt Naked Eyes" ($25.00), I fell hard. And I'd buy it again. And again. The name is deceptive, as the shadows are not so neutral that they are boring in any way. Au contraire--you can easily create...read more anything from a barely-there look for everyday wear to a true, dramatic smoky eye with ease. Fifteen well-pigmented eye shadows allow you to blend and experiment with only your imagination setting the limits. These colors apply easily and wear well, especially over a good primer (NYX has a great one). Some of the colors are light pinks, taupes, suedes, ecru, white, charcoal, deep amethyst, and chocolate. The shades are all a matte finish. I would like some shimmer, but this makes it truly wearable for all. Add to that two rosy and two coral blushes (very flattering colors), a bronzer which is not too dark for even the most fair skin, and two highlighters in champagne and light peach. For twenty-five dollars, it breaks down to about $1.13 per color (that's the way I justify my purchase of palettes). more like smoky eye palette
The eyeshadow colors in this palette are classic, usable, coordinated, and flattering on lids. However there are too many matte colors, as usual with NYX palettes, I do not know why they don't make shimmer or metallic palettes or at least mix them up better. Also, the quality isn't as great as their single shadows. It's slightly harder to pick up, probably because they pressed these harder. Their face colors are usually useless for me, since the colors are all too light, making my face chalky and whiter. Nevertheless, I had to have it to add to my NYX palette collection. A true "naked" palette
All shades are well pigmented, even the lighter ones. This palette is so versatile that allows you to create the softest and most natural of the looks, but the most gorgeous and sultry smokey eyes as well. Perfect Palette
My 13-year-old "makeup guru" daughter introduced me to NYX brand cosmetics, and I am in her debt (well, not really, since I did raise her). I am so happy with this palette. It has made me excited about putting makeup on again! So many beautiful browns to try, and the blushes and highlighters are beautiful too. I used a highlighter as a blush today since I have light skin and it looked truly amazing. And I only paid $14.99. Worth every penny
I got this last week at Ulta and I am in love. I havent even messed with the shadows get (I dont wear alot of eye makeup in the summer). But I love love love the bronzer, blushes, and highlights. The bronzer is the perfect shade for me. I didnt have any highlights and now I have two because of this palette. I love both of them. And I have tried 3 out of 4 of the blushes and 2 of them are so pretty...read more and one is a little to light for my skin tone. And the huge mirror is a big plus. This is great for traveling you have alot of what you might want right there in one palette. Great purchase!
For $25 dollars you can't go wrong! I bought this at Ulta and used a coupon also. I think I saved three dollars. The eyeshadow colors are neutral and great for everyone!! The blushes, bronzer, and highlighter underneath are an added bonus! I was in a hurry one morning and the top part came off of the bottom part that has the blushes. I love it:)
I bought this 2 days ago and I adore it. Its colors are pigmented enough for the $20 I spent and the blushes are pretty awesome. I may be only using this product for a while because I have yet to use all of the colors. So far, I love the taupes and pinks. NYX butt "naked" eyes palette
Over all I really like this product. The colors blend nicely and work really well together. Well worth the price.
