Urban Decay Book of Shadows Volume IV Reviews

Urban Decay Shadows are the best
This palette is worth every dollar. The colors are really well saturated, and it comes with primer, liner and mascara. App card, speaker and phone cord. When you open up the top, there are 3 dimensional butterflies. But aside from the bells and whistles, I have used a lot of different brands of eye shadow, and Urban Decay is the best. It lasts, they offer good colors, applies beautifully. You will be very happy with this palette, — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 7 people said helpful

Fun
This is a fun product and really more of a novelty item. The items themselves are fantastic, but the packaging is awkward for extended use. The tray can be a bit difficult to get in and out and there isn't a separate topper for the shadows so you are pretty much stuck with this large bulky case, which can be difficult if you have limited counter space. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Adore it!!
This palette is large – we are talking book sized – so there is no question in my mind why it is called the Book of Shadows. Some people have reviewed it and said it was gimmicky. Ok so yeh, I don’t need a mini speaker to use makeup – but there are 16 zero point 3 oz shadows (full size shadows are zero point 5 oz and run for $17.00 each). Most of the shadows are the typical Urban Decay formulas that are very highly pigmented and smooth and luxurious. Two of them Gunmetal and Gravity are not as pigmented as I am used to from Urban Decay. I really like Crystal and Cobra is amazing with the gold shimmer. Would I get it again? Well, yes but I doubt I’ll ever run out of eyeshadow! Just for fun – what’s the value of the shadow within the box? $163.20 — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Such a fun palette!
Not only does this palette come with makeup, it comes with tutorials and a speaker! I know some people found this useless and stupid, but I found it adorable. The eyeshadows are SUPER pigmented and they're such gorgeous colors! They go on super smooth too, since the texture is so soft and satiny. They're only 2oz off of full size and there are SO many of them for the price you pay (I got my palette on HauteLook for about half off, but it's still an amazing deal full price). The only complaints I have are about the gorgeous royal blue shade Blue Bus and the shimmery purple, Gravity. They're just not as pigmented as most of the other Urban Decay shadows, but I still love them. Of course, the primer potion is 100% perfection, and the eyeliner worked amazingly! I was really surprised with the mascara too. It's not the best I've tried, but it's the perfect size to pop in my purse so I can use it whenever I need a touch-up. The packaging is EXTREMELY large for what's inside, but I don't really find it a problem. Many people are complaining about how it's actually the size of a book (which it is), but just so cute! I mean, there are 3D butterflies that pop out at me whenever I open it! And when I do travel with it, it honestly doesn't take up much more space than what I used to bring. The price is phenomenal compared to the actual value, which is well over 150 dollars. I haven't felt the need to use any other palette since I bought this one. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Yessss
Omg I just got this 2day and I'm sooooo excited! The colors are beyond gorgeous and all the other stuff that comes with it is just a bonus. The box is soo cute with all the pop-up butterflies and stuff but the only problem is that the draw is alittle hard to open but other then that, this palette is a must have! — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Beautiful Palette!
The packaging is a bit over the top, with butterflies popping up when you open the palette. Even so, it's gorgeous. Included is a small speaker & cord for your cell phone, along with a card with codes to allow you to "plug in" to tutorials using the products. Along with the 16(?) shadows, you get eyeliner & mascara. All the shadows give great color payoff & feel very silky. I'm extremely happy that I purchased this & highly recommend to anyone interested in quality makeup. — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

Another great palette from UD!
This palette takes beauty to the next level! It has tutorials to watch, a place for your phone next to the mirror, a speakerbox, cords, 16 eyeshadows, eyeliner, primer and mascara. The 24/7 eyeliner is the best so far. It's an intense black and will not fade or come off! I love the improved formula on the primer. Not to mention most of the eyeshadows are great. I say most because 2 have a bit of fallout. Two are repromotes from the Naked Palette, which is why it's rated a 9. Overall a great value for any makeup obsessed gal. — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful
