Good if you like subtlety
If you're the type of person who likes subtle, work-friendly colors then these shadows are for you. There aren't very many bright or wild colors, and even the few "wild" colors can be worn anywhere at any time. The thing that irks me the most is how much it costs just for two little squares of eyeshadow! I agree with the others--even while wearing a primer, I noticed that the shadow wore off over time. Great Idea, Poor Execution
I really wanted to love these eye shadows as I love their loose mineral eye shadows. While I loved the colors and the way they felt on the eye, the color simply didn't last (even with a primer). I also found that they were less pigmented on the eye than I would have liked. I have friends, however, who wore these with great staying power. It may be based on your body chemistry. Just as good as the loose mineral shadows...
I've got about six or seven of these duos. Yes, they are a different consistency than the loose minerals, absolutely. However, I don't see why people seem to have a problem with them. I'm using the exact same brushes I've always used and I'm getting excellent color, coverage, and wear. I also find that using BE's blending brush at the very end of application helps everything look gorgeous, smooth, and professional. Definitely use a primer with these, they will last all day. Also, there's a lot less shimmer in these than there are in regular BE loose shadows. All in all, these work well for every day. I'm not fond of all of the color combinations, but there are a few that I think are real winners.
