Sad
This is just a shimmery serum that masks scars but actually does nothing. Please don't even bother. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Meh...
I don't like the golden shimmer it gives on skin, but I think it does give a longer lasting natural glow on your skin when used twice a day. It doesn't get rid of acne scars or dark spots, not even after twelve weeks of using it night and day, it just disguise them. Honestly I don't know what to feel about it, I don't know if I should keep on buying it or seek another similar product. I think I'll just give up and go to a derm to take the dark spot an acne scars off my skin with laser. As I'm only 24, maybe that would be quicker and less expensive within a few years. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 7 people said helpful

doesnot work
the shimmer makes my pores larger, didnot change anything on my skin. The good part, didnot cause any breakouts. — 7 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Awesome product
I splurged and bought this product when it was brand new and been using it ever since. I've found that it works great as a face "primer". I have combination/oily skin that is prone to breakouts. This product is the best serum I've ever used. Just use it everyday n be patient and you will see results. — 1 month, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

just for the aesthetic effect
The product did nothing for my skin. The shimmer seems to give you a glowing complexion but besides this, there's no other reason to use it because there is really no benefit your skin. — 11 months, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Not thrilled
I love hoe this product deflects light causing a glowing complexion, but it has no benefit of restoring or repairing that I can see. I can get a good primer for way less than what I spent on this (Benefit High Beam). I wont buy this again. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

One time fluke?
A couple of months ago I received this product for free. I used it twice a day for about a month and did not notice any remarkable difference in lightning my acne scars or brightening my skin. I really like the smell of the product but the shimmers in the formula was a little off putting, especially since I don't wear foundation and my face looked too sparkly vs. the natural glow I was going for. So I stopped using it for awhile, I spotted it last night in the medicine cabinet and thought to put a little on before I hopped into bed. Woke up this morning with two tiny pimples on my chin and a huge painful zit near my bottom lip. horribly painful! so much in fact, that I had to write this review. For the price tag it just isn't worth it, there's better stuff on the market for much, much less. two stars because it smelled nice and I really do love estee lauder. — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Etsee LAuder Idealist Illuminator
This serum rocks my socks off. it really has helped even out my skintone and is a great pre-primer. (for days when I have extra time and want to look really pulled together I use it together with the original Idealist pore refinisher which is one of the best products on the market). I am reaching the bottom of the bottle of the Illuminator and was so happy to score another new bottle at a cancer benefit, this is not something that i ever want to run out of. I don't usually spend a lot on my make-up on a regular basis (I'm a special occasion splurger), but this is one product that I am going to have to keep in my cabinet at all times. I have some sun-spots and discoloration from picking at my skin and the Illuminator has definitely lightened and brightened all without any skin discomfort. It adds the most sheer, subtle shimmer to your skin, I just make sure to check that I've blended it well, sometimes I notice a golden smear on my nose when I rush. I've noticed that some serums have added to the fact that my pores tend to clog, but not with this product. I even have had more success with liquid foundations, products that i usually steer clear of. LAtely I've noticed that after prepping with this and the Lauder DayWear Tint Release with spf, Cover Girl NAtural Wear foundation has been making my skin look fantastic. I've been alternating between the CG liquid and my standby, Bare Minerals powder (a product that I'll forever be loyal to). The last item I'll mention is StriVectin skin scrub, it's another miracle product, and has done wonders for my nasty blackheads. I think I've struck upon my miracle regime and CAN"T WAIT to go to my 20th high school reunion to show off my skin! — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 22 of 24 people said helpful
