Try before you buy

I really wanted to love these eye shadows as I love their loose mineral eye shadows. While I loved the colors and the way they felt on the eye, the color simply didn't last (even with a primer). I also found that they were less pigmented on the eye than I would have liked. I have friends, however, who wore these with great staying power. It may be based on your body chemistry. Be sure to wear them around for a bit before purchasing to see how they work on you.

Love these shadows!!

I have several of these compacts and I love them. They have become my go-to shadows over all the other Bare Minerals shadows I own (probably a hundred or more!). These blend really well and wear as well as other products from BE. I do think the compacts are a little overpriced, so if you're interested in one, shop around for the lowest price first.

I just purchased my 2nd compact of these shadows. I am really pleased with the colors & the fact that you can mix & blend them. The feel velvety on the eye lid. If I use primer, the colors stay all day.

Bare Minerals Eyeshadow

The colors are great and so is the pigmentation. It does not crease but it does where off fairly quickly you can make it last longer with a primer. A-list has really great shades including a matte black.

Not as good as the loose mineral shadow

First, let me say that I love Bare Escentuals loose mineral eyeshadows. The colors last all day long and don't irritate my eyes. When I saw this 4 shadow compact, I was excited. I thought it would be great for my purse. I am disappointed. the shadows don't go on as smooth as the loose mineral shadows and they don't go on as evenly. I like to use sable brushes to apply my shadows and I had to use t...read morehe little applicator brush that came with this set. It was rough on my eyelids and I also found it harder to clean that a brush. Overall, I am not satisfied and wouldn't recommend this compact. Instead, I would get Bare Escentuals compact that you can put loose shadow in. It is a bit messier to use f, but you will get better results.
