Paula's Choice RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer Reviews

Not As Hydrating or Potent As Expected
Paula's Choice products are generally highly effective; the line is amazing. I was anxious to try the "RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer" (and use it in conjunction with other items in the RESIST line). As with every product from this company, the products are carefully formulated to work synergistically and are free of irritants. The ingredients of this moisturizer read like an organic chemist's dream: Licorice Extract (breaks up and gets rid of brown spots), Vitamin E, Chamomile, Retinol, Pomegranate Extract, Squalane, Glycerin, Green Tea, and Shea Butter, just for starters. Paula says that this is "a unique complex of ingredients proven to remodel your skin by building and preserving collagen, firming skin, and protecting against moisture loss." I do apply it over the RESIST "Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum." It is a silky, very lightweight moisturizer which skin drinks in immediately. After months of this regimen, however, I'm not impressed by the moisturizer. My skin was far more hydrated by Ole Henriksen's "Sheer Transformation,™" "Truth Revealed™ Vitamin C Super Crème SPF 15," and especially their "Pure Perfection." Paula's Choice products do have a money-back guarantee. I won't take advantage of that; this did a fair job, but other products do work better. I won't be purchasing it again. — 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Not bad for Retinal product
I bought the Resist kit because it said for all skin type as well as anti-aging. I have more of dry/sensitive skin, but opted to try this with money back guarantee. For a product with retinal it's feels good on the skin and does feel like a real moisture barrier, Not sure if the oily skin type would do well with this. I like the texture of it over the super antioxidant, it really seals the serum in and takes away that sticky feeling. I really can't say if it's doing anything for my skin, but I'm am using this for a preventive measure, and my skin so far feels nice and looks fresh still. For the price I think it's worth a try especially since Paula's site offer 60 days money back guarantee, so you really can't go wrong. I usually don't do well with retinal products, but this one feels great on my skin so I give it an 8 star just for that and cost. — 6 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful
