NYX Cosmetics NYX Nude on Nude Reviews

Worth the price
This palette came out to compete with the MASSIVELY successful UD Naked Palette. Naturally you get what you pay for. Although the shadows are decent and there are shades to go well with every skin tone, you don't get the rich velvety texture that UD is famous for. I like that there are twice as many shades so you have the most options for the most beautiful neutral eye. HOWEVER, I'm not a fan of the lip glosses. I've used Nyx lip palettes in the past and I wasn't a fan of how streaky they looked on my lips. I was disappointed with the same formula and texture. Don't bother with the applicators that come along with this either. Get a good brush set. Even though there's something for everyone here, I'm still a big fan of the UD palette not only for the texture, but their color options too. This cost me about 14 dollars. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful

Really pleased with this!
20 shadows in a love range of neutrals with a nice mixture of matte and shimmery colors. I found the colors to be nicely pigmented and last me all day if paired with a good primer. The lip colors are just ok, I'm kind of fixated on the orange toned gloss ATM, which reminds me of the Tangerine Pantone color of the year at Sephora. It's a very affordable stand in for UD's Naked palette just don't forget the primer! — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

blah....
i bought this palette with a discount i got off of socialgoodies which im glad i did because i would have never paid full price for this palette. though the shades are great the color payoff and texture of the shadows are lacking in every way. since ive had this palette i swear ive only used it a handful of times. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Love it
This palette is kind of like the urban decay naked palette. But the NYX palette come with lipgloss too. The palette is compact and the colors are amazing. Prefect palette for any nude look. — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

not feeling it.
if you need high pigmentation or have issues with eyeshadow staying on your eyes, i wouldn't recommend this palette. granted it does look like UD and because it has more colors, you think you're getting a better deal but not so much. i was only annoyed when i used it and eventually went back to using the naked. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Love this!
This palette contains 20 neutral eyeshadows and ten lip colors "that are perfect for every skin tone and occasion", along with a mirror and two applicators (one for eyes and one for lips). The palette is a two-level palette, where the top contains the eyeshadows and the bottom contains the lip products. The overall design is functional - the top flips open to reveal the eyeshadows with the mirror on the other side of the lid. The bottom slides out from beneath (both when the top is open or closed) to reveal the lip products and two applicators. The packaging appears a bit cheap to me, but for $25, I can't complain. After all, you are getting a ton of product for a very low price. The inclusion of two applicators is a definite plus! You get a dual-ended sponge tip applicator for the shadows and a dual-ended lip brush for the lip colors. The quality of the lip brush isn't that grand - I found it to be very stiff, even after washing it to try to soften it a bit. I preferred to use my own lip brush when testing the lip colors. There are a combination of matte and satin eye shades as well as lipstick and gloss finish lip colors. The eyeshadows are a hit or miss. This palette is an affordable, good quality palette that offers a lot of options. You can do an everyday neutral eye or a dramatic smoky evening eye - I've done both and they turned out quite nicely. My favorite eyeshadow shades are the taupes (especially the satin taupe shade) and the bronzes. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 11 of 12 people said helpful
