Palette Perfection for Every Woman!
If there were such a thing as a rehab clinic for those addicted to cosmetic palettes, I would be the first to sign up. I just wonder--would a thirty-day treatment plan be enough to cure me of my color mania? When I was in high school and my sister had her first job during college, she bought me a range of lip glosses which smelled as good as they looked. I still remember opening her no-occasion gift and dancing around the house. I used every bit of those glosses and was the envy of my girlfriends. Some other notable palettes I had were from Ultima II (when they created "kohl" hues--smoky, seductive shades) and Borghese (I wish they had not abandoned their eye shadows, as they were deeply pigmented, vibrant, and wonderful). I have to admit that I wasn't completely "sold" on Urban Decay's "Naked Palette" at first ($50.00 at Ulta or Sephora, with a small size of "Primer Potion" included). The shades appeared too much the same, possibly--should I say this?--bordering on boring. But this palette is anything BUT boring. The hues come in a range of finishes, from matte to gentle shimmer to all-out glitter (wearable glitter, however). You can create a look which is perfectly becoming for the office or running errands to one which is all-out glamour for evening. Some of my favorite colors? "Virgin" (tender shimmering beige) is great as a base all over lids and useful for blending with others (UD's formula slips on very easily, making mixing a breeze). "Half-Baked" is a gleaming golden dream, especially when used with "Smog" (medium bronze) and "Darkhorse" (a glistening, delectable deep chocolate). "Toasted" is a lovely pink-bronze and works very well with "Hustle" (decadent deep purple). "Gunmetal" gets into glowing gray, for the ultimate "smoky eye." This palette, along with UD's "Naked II," is never far away from me. It's worth the price and flattering for every woman's complexion. A suggestion: Nix the applicator included and work with brushes to make the most of this set. — 2 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Urban Decay Naked Palette
This is so perfect for summer. Everyone will love this with tanning products and bronzers. Go to the UD website - look at the Palette they have for fall! — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 7 people said helpful

BEST thing ever
There isn't a SINGLE skin tone that will look good with this. This is the BEST palette that UD had ever made. It is worth EVERY penny. The brush that comes with it isn't very good, but it's free. The combinations are endless with this. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 11 of 12 people said helpful

My Favorite
I bought this during Sephora's F&F sale for 20% off, after a co-worker basically forced me to - she was buying another for herself in case it's ever discontinued (unlikely, since it's so popular, but I figured she must really love it). It's fantastic. The shadows wear all day and I've used every shade with success. I recently went on a two-week trip and I've never looked so nice in vacation pictures, because I suddenly had every shadow I could have wanted on the go - very convenient. Sure, there are dupes out there, but not in a similar package takes up so little space in a bag. I also am a big fan of the primer. Not sure I'll purchase the Naked2, as I tend to favor warm tones... and honestly, this palette has everything I need. Con - like others have said, the brush isn't great for shadow, and I wish one or two of the shimmers were matte. I guess I'll jump on the bandwagon and comment on this too. Like others, I waited eh about six months for this to be restocked and grabbed two immediately. Now onto the colors. VIRGIN is a great highlighter with just enough shimmer. SIN I use a lot on the lid to get that "bright eyed" look. NAKED is a good blending color, slightly darker than my natural skin tone. SIDECAR is the chunky glittery one that I reserve for a night out. BUCK is a good matte crease color. HALF BAKED also mainly used for a night out. SMOG is a gorgeous brown smokey eye color. DARKHORSE I don't use as often. TOASTED I usually use in combination with SIN. HUSTLE is used as a crease color. CREEP I don't use that much because I don't wear a lot of darker shades. GUNMETAL I almost never touch since I don't wear gray eyeshadows. Overall, it's a great value and easy travel palette. The palette stays closed, I've never had it accidentally open in suitcases. All in all, a great neutral palette with lots of possibilities. I love neutral eyeshadow it is basically 90% of my eyeshadow collection. After watching countless videos of youtubers raving about this product, along with reading many blog posts about this it only backed up the fact that I needed this palette. I received this as a graduation gift from my aunt, this palette is $48 but considering that there is 12 full sized eyeshadows, a mini urban decay primer potion and a full sized brush(although I would have much prefered the double sided eyeliner); it's a pretty darn good deal. This palette leans more on the warm side, with the bronzes and browns but you also get darker colors such as creep, hustle, etc. to make a smokey/darker eye look. I use this palette for my everyday go to look and I don't even reach for anything else in my collection. The downsides I have with the palette is that I do wish this palette came with more matte shades in addition to the two they have, but I can deal with it. When I go for a vacation or head back home from college for vacation, this is what I bring. As for the packaging it is nice and sleek, I'm not a fan of the magnetic closing it has because sometimes when I have it open as I do my makeup it will just snap shut, and I;ll have to open it again. I don't like how you can see the dust and finger prints that can gather on the palette because of the material. I also like my taupes and greys which this palette doesn't contain. Overall I would repurchase the naked palette because it just has all the neutral shades laid out in one palette and I don't need anything else. Great palette. Works on my NC30 skin as I'm sure it works with everyone else's skin. You could definitely get a few hundred looks from this palette from neutral day eyes to smokey night eyes. I also use the shadows to fill in my brows. Can't beat the price for the amount of shadows you get and I like how they included a mini primer in there. However, the packaging is a little sketchy with a flimsy magnetic closure, so be careful with it! — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 9 of 10 people said helpful

LOVE this.
This is a GREAT basic palette to have in your makeup arsenal! Only 1 overly glittery shade, a couple of great mattes, and many nice shimmery colors. The pigmentation and texture of these shadows is beautiful. The packaging is modern and classy. I like that it conveniently comes with a mini primer and a double ended eyeliner, although most Urban Decay fans probably have a million of these floating around. The only downside is that it is a bit spendy. However, given that the Naked palette has 12 nearly full sized shadows (just a fifth of a gram smaller per shadow than the UD singles), it's REALLY a steal. Money wise--basically, if you only use up THREE shadows in this palette, you get more than your money's worth compared to buying THREE single eyeshadows. That's just CRAZY! I'm considering buying the new one, that has a brush, as a backup, because I love this palette so much. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 17 of 19 people said helpful

Amazing!
The colors are so gorgeous- I love them so much! It has a great variety as well. When you hear the word neutral you might think of boring browns but NOPE. Not in this palette. Their are some gorgeous sahdows of gold, cream, eggplant, navy, cocoa, etc and they do not dissapoint! They stay on all day with no primer but te set ven comes with a primer that works wonderfully. The eyeshadow brush it includes is also amazing and picks up color wonderfully. The bristles are super sfot, cruelty free, and the handle is nice and sturdy. My favorite shades of eyeshadow are Sin, Hustle, and Half Baked but I really love them all. The palette is nice and sleek and would be perfect for traveling. I know it seems like a lot of money, but it really is worth it! — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 7 people said helpful

On the fence...
I feel that the naked palettes are great for people who are not as fair as i am. They are really high quality and amazing packaging. For my skin tone personally they did not work out sadly :( — 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Must have for a collector
This is a classic that every makeup junkie should have. Even if you're not into neutral colors, believe me, you will be someday. The shadow are great for contouring as well, because many are in the brown tones. However, not all the colors are flattering, and the UD shadows are not topmost quality, in my opinion, but still, they are of high quality, and well pigmented. They are silky and go on well, and lasts with primer. I am highly appreciative that they realize that these colors are the staples that we all should have as a set. The velvet case is so nice to the touch, warm, soft, easy to hold unlike their following palette in the series, also unique and nice, but as a collector, they don't match, and I wish they did. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful
