Not as good as China Glaze.
I've tried two brands of crackle polish, China Glaze (in Cracked Concrete [grey creme] and Heartbreaker [pink creme]), and Sally Hansen (in Snow Blast [white creme], Distressed Denim [blue creme] and Ink Splatter [black creme]). Sally Hansen's polishes are so so: Snow Blast is moderately pigmented, Ink Splatter is decently pigmented, but Distressed Denim is a transparent blue. The texture is a little runny on all of them. The price is okay--$6.99 is a bit spendy for a drugstore polish, especially given the mediocre quality, but at least it goes on sale sometimes. The length of wear on these is just alright. I was very disappointed by the performance of these polishes. Crackle polishes are not created equally--I'm sticking w/China Glaze! ***Notes about crackle polish in general: It's easy to apply, and you can vary the size of the crackle by varying the thickness of the crackle coat--a thicker coat means fewer but bigger cracks, a thinner coat means many but very small cracks. Definitely make sure your base coat layer is COMPLETELY dry before applying the crackle top coat. This means the whole mani takes a bit longer than average, but not too bad. The greater the contrast between the base coat and the crackle coat, the better it looks. Also, crackle polish might not be okay for some office places. But fun for the weekend! It might not be a good product for gals who want their mani to be absolutely perfect, because the crackle is a little unpredictable, and it adds thickness/texture to the nail. At first I was not impressed with it, but I tried again with dif colors. The red is not good, It looks like someone threw a tomatoe on your nails. I also tried the pink, which looked horrid on me. I then tried the silver, and that looked really good. So then I came to the conclusion that a sparkly nail color works better on me than a matte color would. I did however end up purchasing another one (purple) because my daughter puts several shades of crackle overcoat on together. She first puts a color on with strokes going one way, and then after it dries she uses another color going in a dif direction. It is really cute on girls, it gives it an abstract look. It is not a look that I would be able to wear everyday to the office, but it's a fun change.
