Good for adult onset acne

I am a 28 year old who was "blessed" with adult onset acne, primarily on my chin and temples, and sensitive skin. After trying literally every acne cream doctors and drugstores had to offer (aside from Accutane), I'd kind of given up hope. I saw an ad for the Olay Pro-X system, found an online coupon, and figured I would give it a shot. This was much gentler on my skin than Proactiv (which in my o...read morepinion is a sham) and seemed to help pretty well. That being said, I wouldn't purchase the 3-step protocol again. The face wash is pretty good, but the bottle is quite small and chances are you'll run out of it first, which is obviously not helpful. The acne treatment is probably the best I've tried thus far for a variety of reasons: first, it cleared up a lot of my acne, from the whiteheads to the cysts, in a pretty timely manner. Second, it doesn't leave a film or residue on your skin and dries almost immediately, so you can apply it before your moisturizer and makeup and never know the difference. This lasted me four months, so I'm glad I didn't sign up to receive an automatic refill. The renewing lotion is kind of a scam, I'm afraid. It's not much of a moisturizer and I didn't notice any real difference in the darkness of my blemishes. Plus, it has no SPF in it, and by the time you apply the acne treatment, some SPF, the renewing lotion, and foundation, you'd probably be feeling pretty gross. It's lasted me the longest of all three products, which is kind of a pity since it's my least favorite. My recommendation is to purchase the face wash (or supplement it with whatever face wash you prefer) and acne treatment a la carte and finding an all-purpose moisturizer with SPF built in.

It Works!

I'm 39 with sensitive, combination skin that breaks out once a month with hormone changes. This is the first system that works for me- acne is gone, scars are fading, skin is soft and not irritated! I have used every sort of acne protocol out there, and this is the first to work for me. I wish they sold these steps individually because I can tell I will run out of one of the steps way before the o...read morethers, and I do wish there was a toning step. Since my face does seem oilier (but doesn't break out anymore), I use a toner after the cleanser and before the treatment and moisturizer- that seems to work for me. Great product!

Olay Pro-X Clear Acne Protocol

I Have been using this for 2 weeks now, the first week I didn`t notice a difference, but I have since begun to see less breakouts and softer skin. I am a middle ager who has the occassional breakouts so this product would benifit a younger person or someone with breakouts other that just the occational. I do like that it is not heavily scented and not oily. I wish though that the step one was a bi...read moregger size as I have noticed It is running out faster than the rest of the system. All in all as with any Olay product it is highly recommended.

It's alright

I haven't seen MUCH improvement with breakouts but I love the way this makes my skin feel after I use it. Some people might not like the cleanser because it doesn't feel like it is really cleansing, I usually use a different cleanser or remove my makeup, then this one right after. My favorite part is definitely the gel-like moisturizer.

I have been using this kit for two weeks now....no major changes, good or bad. I have very oily skin with hormonal acne issues and a fair share of black heads. The moisture level of my face seems to be slightly more oily with this system but that is not correlating to more breakouts but it is also not keeping them at bay either. Loving this protocol

I bought this a little over a week ago hoping it would help my adult acne. I bought it because it said that it helps with hormonal breakouts which is what my acne is being caused by. Since I've been using it, I've notice my acne clearing up and my favorite part is its not overly drying. It also has improved my overall complexion and reduced redness. I've used so many acne treatments including ProA...read morective. They all dry out my skin which causes my oil glands to produce more oil to compensate and then I break out really bad. This is gentle enought to use twice a day. I did start with doing it only at night to let the medication sink in without makeup overlaying it. I've just upped it to twice a day (morning and night) and it's been working even better. I highly recommend this product!
