my favorite shine spray
I've had a bit of a love-hate relationship with shine sprays, because most make hair look greasy, feel too heavy, or smell too strong, or all of this together. I got this one from Total Beauty to test, and I actually like it. I have long dark hair, that is healthy, but does get frizzy here and there, so a tiny bit of taming and more shine are always welcome. This spray comes in a nice glass bottle, when you spray it, it sprays as a nice fine mist. So the packaging is good. This product does what it promises to do: "brings out hair's natural luster and adds shimmery shine". It doesn't give whole lot of shine, but it does help hair look nice and healthy. If I want my hair to be a little heavier (if it's humid out), I spray a little more, and I get very nice effect. The huge plus for me is that this serum has very nice light scent, that evaporates, so it doesn't interfere with whatever perfume you wear. Didn't make my hair heavy or greasy. I definitely like this shine spray better than John Freida's Frizz Ease- does the job just as well minus the overpowering smell. Highly Recommend
First thing's first: the results from this spray are amazing. I get shiny hair instantaneously without any greasy, limp, or over-producted hair feel! It is as simple as a spray and brush-through on both sides of my head and suddenly, my hair is "whoa, shiny!" Everything down to the packaging is well made and will receive absolutely no complaints from me. Though the spray comes in a slim glass bottle, it definitely withstands dropping, leaking, or breaking, making it ideal for traveling without travel-size necessities. The spray mist itself is light, but direct; thus, one spritz actually deposits most (if not all) of the product right to my hair! There is a very fine scent of fruit that comes with, but it disappears almost instantly when brushing through so no irritants here for those who are sensitive to scent. What else can I say about it? This actually works
I have a texture to my hair that makes it so that when my hair is clean it looks dry. I deep condition, I wash in cool water, I try everything and my hair always looks dull, even when I leave the salon. I have always longed to have the lustrous shiny hair that I see everywhere. When Total Beauty asked me if I wanted to try this, I jumped...I've tried everything so I was ready to try more. And this works! I get my hair in the style that I want and then spray about 3 pumps from arms length away from my head and my hair looks glossy and beautiful. It doesn't weight down my hair and it doesn't look greasy. I don't end up with oily hands, like with some solutions. This is the perfect 30 second method to boost my style. The only downside is that the next day my hair ends up fairly oily looking, not the natural glossy look of the previous day. I like to get 2-3 days out of my hair, and this gives me 1 styled day and one pony-tail day. This is why I took 1 star off...normally this would drop it down more, but the positive aspects of this spray are so amazing that they far outweigh the frequent wash inconvenience. I have added this to my personal beauty arsenal. Amazing Shine!
This shine spray is incredible. Let me just say, I have tried quite a few, but this one surpasses them all! However, that being said, let me give a little helpful hint...there's a reason this product comes in a small package. You don't need much to achieve that incredible shine you're after! USE SPARINGLY! The first time I tried it, I expected it to be like all the other shine sprays I had used. Requiring a ton of product to get the shine I wanted. But I was wrong. I ended up having to shampoo my hair and start all over again, because my first application was far too heavy, and left my hair looking greasy. But, when applied properly and in the right amount, this was amazing. My hair was light, shiny, manageable and beautiful. Adds extra sparkle to my hair!
I got to try the Wella Shimmer Delight thanks to TotalBeauty. I've been using it for over a month. I absolutely love the pretty sparkle it adds to my hair. It is immediate and it last for hours. I love how it makes my hair look! I have oily hair so I only use this in the morning when I will be taking a shower in the evening. I wouldn't leave this on for more than 8 hours. It doesn't feel heavy but it does leave a little bit of product that I can feel. It feels very soft to the touch. But if I left it on too long, it would just feel too oily. I only need a few spritzes to get that pretty shimmer. The instructions say to spray at an arm's length. It has a nice scent that isn't overwhelming which is very nice because some hair products are too strong. I also like the cost. I found it online for under $10 and with only a few sprays needed a day, it really is a great value. Light and might add shine
I received this product from total beauty to try out-thanks! I have to say that I liked the fact that it went on easily and was a very light finish on my hair- it didn't make it feel tacky or clumpy or greasy. I have trouble since my hair is slightly in the oily side with products building up and making my hair dirty but this didn't do so, even if I added lots of spritzed vs just a couple. The thing is my hair is usually very shiny and I can't say this didn't anything for the shine. Hard to tell the benefits but it probably added a bit more sheen. For those looking for that extra shine, I would give it a try if in your price range. Nothing terribly special!
I don't typically use a lot of product in my hair because it's pretty thick and healthy, but I used this spray in it for a while to add a little extra spray. It's definitely not too difficult to over-apply and I sometimes found it to make my hair greasy, but it smells lovely and a little bit of spray looked lovely and shiny! Enhanced my shine and smells great
I haven't been a huge favor of shine sprays so I was cautious about this product. I've used Wella products before and know their quality so I gave it a try. I have long, healthy, coarse and thick reddish blonde hair. It can be oily at times so I've avoided adding more product that give a "sheen". Like one reviewer said, this is not life changing, however I did enjoy testing the product out and will continue to use it until it runs out. It smells fantastic and gives that subtle shine that natural hair lacks. My problem is I have very thin brunette hair, so shine spray just isn't a practical daily product for me (I do not need to add anything that will speeden up the greasy hair process). In order to avoid it, I sprayed the product on my palms and smoothed it to my ends as opposed to spraying it directly on my hair.
