Useless....
I was hoping to use this for foundation but the brush is so small, it takes forever just to completely blend my foundation since it's not dense enough. Then I was hoping to use this for my cream bronzer but because this brush is so lightly packed, it makes it hard to blend. ELF Stipple Brush
Just to clarify, ELF has two stipple brushes: the Small Stipple Brush (amazing! Perfect for applying cream blushes) and the Stipple Brush. This review is for the Stipple Brush (the larger of the two). I have been using the Small Stipple Brush for a long time now and it is a cream blush's best friend! So I thought when I was doing a Cyber Monday haul, that if the Small was amazing, how amazing woul...read mored the regular size be???? Ha! I was wrong. :) More does not always mean better! This brush is quite large; larger that the picture seems to be. I would say the bristles are about 2 inches tall and maybe 2 and a half inches wide, or even 3. It was a difficult brush to use; I tried applying cream blush and there wasn't enough control to my surprise (welcome back, Small Stipple Brush!). I then tried to use it for stippling foundation, and it was okay, but a but useless. I could really use any brush or sponge to press the foundation into my pores. This brush really just seemed unnecessary. There are so many other brushes in my collection that I love and could easily grab for when applying my blushes or foundation; this just isn't one of them. Really disappointed
I wanted to love this brush but I can't find a reason. The bristles are flimsy and there aren't enough of it. When I apply foundation with this, all does is smush into my skin making it hard to blend the product in. I tried wetting the brush to apply foundation and it feels like needles poking at you. Dissapointed
I was mad about the fact when I received my brush in the mail the bristles were kind of out of place and I thought that it would be a bigger brush. Amazing brush!!
My favorite brush right now. It isn't extremely dense, but it does its job great. Doesn't shed, great quality. Applies my foundation perfectly. My foundation doesn't stain the bristles, and whenever I wash it they always come out white. The brush is pretty looking, with a black handle, it looks sleek. Not impressed
I ordered this online so I couldn't look at it first, and I was really disappointed when I got it. The bristles are incredibly sparse and rough. Great brush.....fantastic price!
Very soft. Not dense. White bristles stain easily [as expected]. No shedding. The brush was a bit squashed in the packaging it came with as it is not dense at all so can easily be somewhat deformed if stored unproperly. Outside the packaging it eventually grew out of its deformation. The diameter is smaller than the powder brush, it fits my cheeks perfectly. The first time I used my stipple brush...read more, I could see the colour actually being deposited on my cheeks so I was super happy. Then I got a bit carried away and put too much blusher on and had to tone it down with some translucent powder. This brush is not super dense but I think that you don't want something super dense when you're just trying to apply a wash of colour to your face. The hairs are really soft and the pick up pigment perfectly. I washed it a few times and it hasn't shed any hairs which is another plus. For blushing, bronzing and highlighting I LOVE this brush I find that it works well, really well with powder. I only use this brush for those things and I like it that way.
