Wella Brilliance Conditioner Reviews

Wella Brilliance
I was so excited to have the opportunity to try some Wella products. Ordinarily it is a bit out of my price range, so it was great to try a higher end product than what I would normally buy. The first thing I noticed about this conditioner was the soft, tube-shaped bottle. I prefer this type of packaging because I feel like I can get every last bit of product out, rather than having some go to waste at the end. When I turned the package over to check out the ingredients, I was excited to see that "Diamond Powder" was listed. However, none of the other ingredients jumped out at me as having much potential to moisturize or repair my hair, which is extremely dry and hard to moisturize. The particular variety I got was for thick, coarse and colored, hair and I was hoping it would live up to its claims. I have been using this product line for about a week. I washed first with the corresponding Wella Brilliance shampoo for coarse and colored hair, then applied the conditioner. I let it sit in my hair for about 3 minutes before rinsing with cool water. I blow dried and flat ironed as usual, and one thing I immediately noticed was the shine. My hair really did appear to gleam, which was wonderful to see, and had a lot of bounce. However, it felt a little sticky and dry, as though it had just been deeply clarified, rather than moisturized. All in all, I would not recommend this conditioner if you really need deep moisturizing, as I did not see those results from this conditioner in any way. However, if you're just looking for a shine boost, then I would say this fits the bill. Either way, always fun to try new things! — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 10 people said helpful

Not so moisturizing
My favorite thing about this conditioner is the scent other than that it didn't work so well with my hair. After using it my hair felt stringy and weighed down and not very moisturized at all. It contains an alcohol as a main ingredient after water so that's never a good sign. It also has parabens which I don't support using. I wouldn't spend my $ on this line. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 6 people said helpful

Very fragrant
I tried the Brillance formula for fine hair. It left my hair soft, shiny and tangle-free. It did not weigh my hair down. It has a very strong, floral fragrance that does not fade (for days), so smell it before you buy it to make sure you like it. This is probably not one most guys are going to want to use. It is a little expensive, but not ridiculously. It is definitely worth your consideration. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 22 people said helpful

Love it!
This conditioner is the perfect balance of detangler and light weight conditioner. My hair tangles like crazy, always has. This one allows me to comb right through wet hair, but it doesn't leave my super fine, oily hair feeling heavy later on. Since I've started using this, I've had better hair days! — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful

Turned my hair around
I love this conditioner. It made my hair feel good. It turned my thick coarse mane into calm curly locks. I got so many complements on my hair today. Smells fabulous kinda of fruity. Love this conditioner. Great packaging. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Out of the three, this was my least favorite
This was one of a three piece sample from this site that I had the opportunity to test. Basically, I would say the overall scent is not strong and pleasant enough. It came in a squeeze tube ,which is my least favorite type of hair product application to wash my hair with. I received the one for Fine to Normal colored hair and it does state that it is a light weight type. It has diamond dust listed as the special ingredient. Before I cut my long, damaged hair, it was not highlighted or dyed. The best conditioner was a deep conditioner, which I would leave in for a long time then wash out. I had wanted to highlight my hair once it was cut, but never got to it. So, I am going to address the aspects of what I expect from a regular conditioning product. I want lots of shine, softness, without a greasy feeling, and without weighing my straight hair down. It did help with the shine, and I only used it on the bottom parts of my hair 1/3 to 1/2 of the way. It allowed for my hair to have body, and did not have any slick feel to it afterwards. I am not so sure of the soft factor because I used it once by naturally drying my hair. If you use it towards the top of your head, I could say it is something that may be considered as a useful product. But, getting back to the availability and if it will be in more than just salons, or exclusive stores, brings down my rating. In addition, to get all three, will prove to be a high cost. If I would have to choose between the three from this line that I got, I would probably skip this one. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Wella Brilliance conditioner
I love getting samples from Total Beauty! The first thing that I noticed was the fragrance, very yummy! I have fine, thick, colored hair and it did not take very much conditioner at all. This product left my hair soft, shiny, but not very moisturized. My hair was very easy to comb afterwards. I still had lots of flyaways, so this conditioner did not work well for me. I don't think I would buy it; there are cheaper products that do better. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Pretty good conditioner for dry hair
I used the version of this conditioner for coarse hair because my hair is long, colored and can be quite dry (so I'm always looking for ultra-moisturizing conditioners). This conditioner smoothed my hair out and did a good job of detangling it. It also rinsed clean and didn't leave any residue. I noticed that after my hair dried it seemed very smooth and shiny (I do use good styling products though, so those contributed to that too). Overall I think this would work for anyone with moderately dry/damaged hair. I would have rated it higher but It's a tad pricey and you could easily find something that works just as well at any drugstore for less money. But if you don't mind spending a few extra dollars I would recommend trying it! — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
