Great cleanser for oily skin
This has been my cleanser for the longest time. I stockpile on this cleanser every time there is a coupon in the newspaper or if there's a sale. It does a great job in controlling my oily skin, removing makeup even waterproof eye makeup, doesn't make me break out like other brands (Neutrogena and Clean & Clear), and you only need a little bit that will build up a great lather, which make it wallet-friendly. This cleanser is white, thick, and the consistency is similar to Noxema if you were to squeeze it out of a bottle. Dime size amount is all you need for abundant lather. Are we reviewing the same product?
So surprised by the other reviews! :) I thought that this cleanser was a nice, BASIC cleanser but really was a bit lackluster. My skin is also oily/combo and I decided to switch to this cleanser for the winter months, with the hope that it would be less drying than say, a salicyclic acid cleanser would be. For the most part it is, but I found it to be rather thick. I had to use very little (which was great for the wallet as one reviewer pointed out) and lots of water. However, be sure to rinse VERY well. With this cleanser, more than others, I felt either a "film" on my skin or tightness. I also get breakouts and blackheads, and saw no improvement at all with this product. My skin is clear for the most part, but I do get the occasional blemish and saw no difference with this cleanser. In addition, my skin would look clean afterwards but didn't FEEL clean. It's just okay; for me, I will try something different when I am done with this product. Great product!
