Amika Obliphica Pure Oil Reviews

Oil Treatment for Hair
The only products that I religiously use on my hair are shampoo and conditioner. So to add oil treatment into the process would mean the oil treatment has to be pretty darn good! So inside the bottle is a stopper topper that I assume blocks oil from seeping out. So after removing that, the instructions are simply which is to just apply a few drops on the palm and rub together before evenly distributing onto damp or dry hair. After taking a shower and towel drying it, I waited a few minutes before applying the oil treatment to my hair. Although my hair is personally not color-treated, it's important to note that this product is indeed safe for color-treated hair. Also, this oil treatment is free of parabens and artificial colors. It is also important to note that if any adverse reaction occur, it is vital to stop using the product and inform your doctor if the adverse reaction persists. I do like the scent of this oil treatment; I believe the lovely aroma that I smell in product is probably the Sea Buckthorn Berry (Obliphica). On the bottle it does say that it’s salon exclusive, so I’m not sure if you will be able to find this anywhere else but when you visit your local salon, be sure to ask to try the amika obliphica oil treatment for hair. This product works as an anti-frizz, provides shine to your hair and nourishment. I think it’s a great way to make your hair look great early in the morning or let it do its thing at night right before you head to bed. I just showered and applied some of this lovely oil treatment to my hair making it manageable and frizz-free. And if I want a touch up on my dry hair in the morning, I’ll just take a dab, rub it in my palm and then apply it to my hair! — 8 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Love it
I have a lot of hair. It's been bleached and color damaged several times over, so it needs a little TLC. However, many hair serums just end up making my hair look greasy and heavy. This product didn't. I was worried since it says it's pure oil (it's not, as TheLacqueredLady pointed out), and it's fairly thick. But it really made my hair look and feel healthy again! The scent is faint but pleasant, and it was hard to over apply (I ended up using quite a bit more than the directions suggested, but I added a little at a time and it looked great). It doesn't make my hair look greasy at all. — 8 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful

Review subject
It has a nice fruity smell. The instructions on the side of the container were very tiny and difficult to read. It seemed to make my hair look shiny and felt soft. — 8 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great oil Hair Treatment
I have been addicted to using argon oil treatments for my hair for awhile now, they make my dull, dry, split ended hair look so smooth, soft and shiny. This oil treatment my Amika had the exact same effects on my hair. You only need a little bit but it works amazingly well! I smoothed it through my hair and noticed a softer shinier head of hair as soon as I was done. I love using this treatment a few times a week before bed. I notice it helps my dull hair looks more healthier in the morning when I brush it out and style it. I have used other Amika products and really liked them as well. I think this is an amazing oil treatment and is def something I will continue to buy and use frequently! — 8 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Smells good
I have one issue with this product - it claims to be a pure oil, but the first ingredient is Dimethacone (i.e. silicone). Getting that out of the way, the product smells fantastic. A little goes a long way as well. I like that the product has a lovely scent that is not over powering and fades in the hair. I did find that this left my hair feeling silky and had more shine, but it didn't condition my ends as much as some other oils I have tried. — 8 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Nice!
I love this oil to use on my damp hair, and then when my hair is dry, it's more shiny and more healthy looking. I really love this! — 8 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Smells fantastic
My first impression about this product was the smell. It smells so great! Not even something you would expect from oil. It is true that it can be heavy on your hair and weigh it down if you apply too much of it. My tip: since I have a lot of hair and it's also very thick, I applied three drops to each half of my hair while damp, then blow dry it. It works wonders: straight, shiny, soft hair. If you have thin hair or not so much hair, one drop will work just as well. It does eliminate frizz and makes it smooth. Recommended: yes. — 8 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Loved The Scent, Not The Product
The product itself was hard to apply evenly .. it left parts of my hair oily, and other parts dry. The scent was amazing for a hair oil though (most smell repulsive) ... it smells me of a high-end perfume. — 8 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Pleasantly surprised
I replaced this treatment oil with the serum I regularly use on my hair before and after heating tools. I liked the light fragrance of the oil. You only need a drop, even me with my thick hair, it goes a long way. It felt good as I was applying it to my damp hair and worked just as well as the product I usually use. It took the heat from the styling tools well and protected my hair. It made my hair soft, shiny and silky smooth. — 8 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Smooth, soft and shiny
I have coarse and damaged hair. The scent of this oil is nice, but fortunately not too overwhelming. I have to be careful how much I use. When I used too much, my hair looked greasy and heavy. I prefer to use this oil on damp hair because it is easier to distribute evenly. When I apply the right amount, my hair looks smooth and sleek, and feels soft until the end of the day. — 8 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
