Not my fav

It's lathers fairly well, the color is deep purple. Don't care for the smell. It does tone down the brassiness in my blond hair. I only use it maybe twice a month to help protect my color.

This was purchased upon the stylist recomendation, but I only used it twice. It's also odd since the shampoo is an odd color. (it's bright purple) I guess it was an okay product as far as shampoo goes, but nothing special.

Shimmer Lights Shampoo

I use this when I have blonde highlights. It keeps them from going brassy. Don't let the color scare you. The only thing I dislike about this product is the smell. Not a fan of that, but when you're maintaining blonde hair or highlights, using this once in a while is a good idea to protect your investment.

Blonde and Silver hair Boost

I've been using this shampoo for years. My brother used to sneak using it all the time because he loved the scent. I also love the scent and the lather is luxuriousl! It works very well to help preserve blonde haircolor/highlights. It also corrects brassiness and brightens silver/gray hair.

Shimmer Lights Purple Shampoo

I think this product works great, it always gets rass out of my hair. you will have to leave it on longer than 3 mins for it to work. It might turn purple or silver but I personally like that. I leave it on for 30 mins. to a few hours so my hair will turn lilac/silver. I had red hair and faded it out with head and shoulders, vitamin c, and baking soda, it was still a little red so i put the shampoo over it for a while and the red was completely gone and it was lilac/silver. I think its great

Great for brunettes as well.

I'm a brunette that has several different natural tones in my hair. I'd say my hair is medium to dark brown that looks chestnut in the sun. I use this as my main shampoo about 3 times a week. I love it. It really tones down any loudness that some of the red and blonde tones in my hair give off. I love how shiny my hair is afterwards. This does have a scent and it can be messy but I've never had a problem rinsing it away! I purchased mine at Sally beauty supply for around $9.

must have

im a blonde and I color it even more blonde. this shampoo helps neutralize the brassiness in my hair. if you have platinum hair it might turn it a purple grey color. but if you use a hair color deffinately get this shampoo and you will notice the brassiness is faded

horrible.

At first i was skeptical about this product and scared to use it since i had read some reviews that said it turned peoples hair white! I have a really brassy hair colour and my stylist recommended it. The first time i used i put a fist size amount considering my hair is very very thick and long, i left it in for about 4 mins, and rinsed it out, applied a different brand conditioner, and my usual j...read moreoico deep conditioner since my hair is very dry. Now let me tell you my hair was SO dry after this shampoo, it was breaking off as i brushed it. This was the worst shampoo i have ever used in my life. As for removing the brassy colour from my hair, well it made absolutely no difference and i put a whole lot of amount of it on my hair (a fist as i said before.) I will never use it again, and DEFINATLY not repurchase. It will be going in my whole giant box of bad products.

it totally works

this shampoo is used mainly for light blonde to gray hair. its not an every day shampoo. its used to take the orangey-brassiness mainly out of blonde hair. usually you use it after a dye job and if you have some banana yellow hair or even orange hair. i was recommended this by a friend who dyes her own hair at home and it totally evens out the color. its a little pricey but you dont use it everyday maybe twice a week. will buy again.
