I thought that since this was a creme gloss, it would impart color that would last. It gives some color, but only lasts a short time. I was disappointed because other items I have purchased from NYX are quality products. I do like the fact it's not sticky. So, what I do is use it on top of a couple of lip stains I bought by Kat Von D, and the gloss imparts a shiny surface to a matte stain, which is much better for me than matte. It does feel like it moisturizes, and it does last on top of the lip stain. For the price, it's okay. Had high hopes, was disappointed.
I was really excited when these came out, and rushed to Ulta to buy one. I have this in Antwerp, which is a vibrant warm pink with a touch of coral. It feels like your standard longwear lipcolor in terms of texture--creamy, a little thick. It's a little less drying though. However, it doesn't wear for very long. After sipping my coffee for an hour in the morning, I was left with the dreaded ring around my lips. I reapplied but not long after, after a snack, it had disappeared again. I love the color, and the convenient size, but I need a mirror to reapply, and it wears off so quickly! Soft Feel, Matte Color
One of my friends recommended the soft matte lip creams to me when we were at Ulta together. It took me a while to pick any up because the stock is always so picked over. I'm glad I finally got my hands on these though because I love them! They are so creamy and just glide over your lips with ease. It feels like a cross between a lip gloss and a matte lipstick. Unlike, the YSL Glossy Stains though, these dry down to a very matte finish. They end up looking just like a matte lipstick would. I often have the problem of lipsticks and lip stains settling into any dry skin or lines on my lips but these (thankfully!) did not do that. I would still recommend getting all the dead skin off your lips prior to applying for the most even application. The color lasted very well on me, remaining even and opaque. I reapply this after I have been drinking a lot or eating, but I still consider these to be long lasting. Even when the color wears off a bit, I still have a nice even base of color on my lips. I just reapply for the full on affect. These cost $5 and are a great product. pretty good
This is a unique product. It is applied like a lip gloss but it is a thicker opaque cream. I like this product a lot, it probably would have gotten a higher score if I had found a better color. If have this in Istanbul which is a pretty soft pink, but washes me out a bit. Creamy
I really liked this matte formula. I usually don't like to wear matte lip...anything. Most of the formulas that I have tried are really dry. If I haven't used lip balm or am not hydrated, I find my lips show it and when using a matte lipstick, it's exaggerated. This on the other hand is really creamy. Yeah I know, "Hello, it says cream in the name!" But in all honesty, it really is and I would rather have 4 of these than one of NARS lip gloss. I really like the color Stockholm. Kind of strange...
This is unlike any lip product I've ever used, and not in a very good way. It goes on very opaque and just looks so unnatural, and really exacerbates any dry skin or lines in your lips (I tried 5 shades and found this to be true of all of them). It does sort of have a staining effect, so if I put it on thin and layer a glossy, shimmery product over it, I can acheive a look I like that lasts a decent amount of time. NYX doesn't disappoint.
This is one of the few matte products that I can actually pull off. It feels WONDERFUL (and smells like vanilla) when you put it on, although it takes a little messing with to get even (I have to use my fingers to smooth the edges). I was expecting it to be very drying, but if you put lip balm on before, you can't even feel it! I have this in Milan and Istanbul (a medium and a light pink) and I can wear them both with almost anything! It's not the MOST long lasting product out there, but if I don't eat, it lasts me about 4 hours. Good!
I loved this, it was a great way to show something diff. from the regular glossy lip cremes. I loved the colors i got mine in, tokyo (pink) and amsterdam (a vibrant red). They are pure, the color is fantastic, very pigmented and creamy! I love this, and i think it is worth a shot trying! Silky and smooth....
i LOVE the velvety soft texture that this lip cream gives that no other gloss or lipstick have given in the past. The color is rich and applies smoothly. It's like getting a lipstick in the form of a lip gloss. Amazing! It dries quickly and doesn't moisturize as well as I'd like it to but the awesome soft texture just makes up for it.
