couldn't tolerate the taste
I bought this based on the high rating here, and because the color Hot was exactly the rich, blue-based red I was looking for. (I used the colormatch utility on the CoverGirl website, which I have to say is extremely impressive and useful.) It did go on smoothly, and looked terrific. (Yay colormatch!) Then I went out for a special dinner with my husband (who also loved the color on me) and quickly discovered I could taste an unpleasant, chemical, lip-sticky taste with every bite I ate. I didn't want a lipstick to ruin a rare date night, so I went to the ladies room and wiped it off with a moist wipe, and applied tinted balm in its place. Dinner was saved, but not the lipstick, which I returned. There are others in the same price range that don't have this issue. LOVE (hate)
The lipstick is very moisturizing and lovely if I apply it after some lip balm. Otherwise, it actually dries my lips out and wears off much faster. I am dying to try this in any other shade but the one I bought. I got Tempt, which was nowhere near the color it appeared to be on the packaging. It's pretty clown-like on me, like bright red-orange, sometimes more of a fuschia, but definitely not the dark, rich, blue-based red it looked like in the store/on the packaging. It's pretty in general, but I think I will go with more of a nude or soft color in future. That's what I get though for thinking I found an exact match for my nail polish color. **Update: I have since then bought the color Kiss, which is really shimmery, a tad of orange, but actually looks pretty good with my complexion. And I bought one that I ended up trading with a friend for a fuschia Revlon lipstick that looked good on me, not her. She looked good in the color, Euphoria, while I looked kind of scary wearing it. It is a pretty color, and looked good on my hand, just not on my face. It's a little too intense for me. Overall, it is a good lipstick, but you definitely need to break the little sticker and test it on your hand or just look at the actual lipstick before you purchase it, or make sure you can return or exchange it, because this is a lipstick whose swatches never match the actual color of the lipstick and it can be extremely disappointing. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I am typically not a fan of CoverGirl lipsticks but this line surprised me. The color selection is fantastic and the lipstick is moisturizing and pigmented. AMAZING lipstick
This is one of my favorite lines of lipstick. I went to target going to pick out a Milani lipstick I heard about...but I ended up leaving with 2 of these babies. Enchantress and Temptress are both gorgeous. One's an extremely bright pretty coral color and the other's a bright shimmery hot pink. This lipstick honestly lasts me all day. It actually even stains my lips a bit, which is definitely okay with me since it lessens the amount of times I need to reapply (which is maybe only ONCE to intensify the color). These lipsticks are really creamy and go on really nice. They feel really good on your lips too. I have naturally dry lips, and I didn't even have to apply balm before I put this lipstick on. It was almost balm-like the way it moisturized my lips! There are also SO many colors to choose from. It's impossible to pick just one. Thankfully, they're super affordable so you don't have to! The colors are super bright and colorful (and soft and nude if that's what you choose) and they're just...so pretty on your lips! This is definitely the best drugstore lipstick I've tried so far. always get complements
Without fail, every time I wear the Femme Seduction color I get a compliment on how good it looks on and how white my teeth look. This lipstick stays on very well ! A Favorite
This is probably my second favorite right now. Scoring just below my EL. This is really creamy and lasts a long time have more colors than EL and a much smaller price tag. I'm in love.
I never wore lipstick in my early makeup days because it dryed out my lips and either never come off when i messed up, or came off 5 minutes after applying ... So i gave up on lipstick for a while but tonight i gave lipstick another shot. So i went to the store and found these covergirls shades... Needless to say, i left the store with four of them. They are all beautiful colors, don't dry or stick, come of skin when you mess up, and last! I suggest the mauve colors for anyone with light skin. LOVE LOVE LOVE
This has been officially labeled as my "party lipstick" because it will literally last forever. Even when I try to rub it off, it will stay on my lips. I took one star off for that because, at 3 in the morning after a party when all I want to do is crawl into bed, I'm usually not in the mood to fight with my lipstick to get it to come off. But other than that, this stuff is absolutely perfect. Goes on smoothly, doesn't dry out as the day (or night) goes on, and I absolutely love the colors. Plus, for what you get, the price is unbeatable. Pretty good lipsticks
