Miracle Skin Transformer SPF 20 Reviews

Not impressed!
When I was watching a program about featured anti-aging products this season, I was intrigued by the Miracle Skin product. Similar to a BB cream, this product claims to hydrate, protect with spf 20, and "transform" the complexion by smoothing over fine lines and wrinkles, reducing the appearance of pores, and evening out tone and pigmentation over time, all while giving you a flawless airbrushed look. I was more intrigued with the airbrush look because my skin is nowhere near perfect despite my arduous claims with skin care (I've seen a dermatologist already, but I'm not ready to shell out the $$$ for pricey procedures). When I tried a little on my hand, it did give a beautiful soft airbrush effect that I was hoping for. So I decided to take a sample of this home to try for a few days. Unfortunately, my experiences were not as I hoped it would be. First this product claims to hydrate--if anything, it made my skin feel much DRIER with this on, than not having anything else on. I could see my problem flakey skin associated with living in the desert rise though the tint. Second, there are limited ting. My complexion is in between light and medium and neither of those fit my complexion well. There IS a translucent shade, but I was hoping for a tint for times when I desired sheer coverage on low-maintenance days. Third, this product claims to have "naturally-derived silicone" which means if you have had problems in the past with silicone (like if it makes you break out), I would skip this product. Although it made my skin feel silky, my skin always feels uncomfortable wearing silicone products. This product is also a much thicker consistency, so it takes a while to apply on your face. As far as it goes trying to achieve that "airbrushed" look? Although this did reduce the appearance of my pores and fine lines, and it did give me a satin finish, I could not get past the way that it made ALL of my dry flakey skin appear through. Even when I use regular foundation, it is able to cover my dry skin, but I was thoroughly unimpressed with this product. For someone who has a decent complexion with not-so-dry skin, I'm sure this product might impress them. As for me, I'm thrilled that I didn't bother wasting $48 for a tube of this stuff (so pricey!) This is just another extremely pricey tube of tinted moisturizer (and let's face it, I've tried tinted moisturizers that were FAR superior and at a fraction of the cost). The only thing that this product does offer over most tinted moisturizers or BB creams, are its anti-aging properties. Since I'm young and I follow a good skin care regimen, I can afford to pass on the so-called "anti-aging benefits" that this product claims to do. — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Silky but skin is not hydrated
When I first put this on, my skin felt silky smooth. However, makeup didn't 'stick' as well and within 5 minutes it had settled into my fine lines. Four hours later, my skin was flaky dry. I thought it might have been a fluke due to the cold winter weather so I continued to use it for a week. Same thing every day. The day I switched back to my regular product, there was no problem. Skin was back to normal. So, I can definitely attribute the challenges to this product. I tossed it. — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Superb
It's nice, it doesn't have great coverage if you have pimples, but it does give that airbrushed look otherwise. It's recommendable for oily skinned people who want something soft and light. — 1 month, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

A miracle for my skin
I typically use light to medium coverage foundations but have been curious about the BB creams and tinted moisturizers that I hear so much about lately. I believe this product was in the BB cream category and it is the first BB cream type product I have ever tried. I purchased Miracle Skin Transformer on Sephora's website for $48. There were 8 shade choices: translucent, light, 2 mediums, medium tan, tan, dark, and deep dark. Given those choices I decided since I'm fair to light I should go with the light shade. The website states that this product is "A five-in-one formula designed to hydrate, prime, enhance, mattify, and protect your skin in a single step." It goes on to explain that, "The complex is formulated with a rich combination of vitamins to improve your skintone, luminosity, and texture, while minimizing the look of pores, fine lines, and imperfections. Achieve a radiant, airbrushed complexion in seconds with the skin-soothing color minerals and enjoy the sheer, light finish with buildable coverage possibilities." The product comes in a plastic opaque tube with a twist off lid. The application instructions on the bottle state to smooth a pearl-sized amount of the product onto your cleansed skin with your fingers. I rarely use my finger tips to apply products, especially foundation. I am a long time user of the foundation brush. However, it turns out that with this product using finger tips is truly the best method for application. The consistency of the product is more like a gel than a liquid foundation or moisturizer, and smoothing it on with the finger tips is the easiest way I have found to get a flawless finish. The first time I squeezed out some of the product I thought it was too dark and would in no way match my fair skintone. I even double checked that it was in fact the "light" shade. However, this stuff really works like magic. As soon as I started gently smoothing it onto my face, it literally appeared to just melt and disappear into my skin leaving absolutely no streaks or lines. It matched perfectly. And the really amazing part to me, was that it truly did instantly transform the appearance and feel of my skin. It immediately left me with flawless looking skin that was completely soft and smooth. But what seriously blew me away was the fact that it was completely invisible. I mean that I knew I had applied it because all the discoloration and uneven skin tone vanished and my skin looked amazing, but even upon close inspection there was no visible clue that I was wearing anything on my skin. My skin looked bare, but was miraculously transformed at the same time. I now completely understand why they named it Miracle Skin Transformer. Since I have never tried any similar products or BB creams, I have no idea if the performance of this product is similar to others. I just know that I've never seen any product perform in the manner in which this one did. It just dissolved into my skin leaving me with what is equivalent to a light to medium coverage foundation, but without any indication that I was wearing any foundation type product at all. It looked like my skin was just amazing naturally. Additionally, I found that this product was long wearing, and seemed to decrease any shine in my T-zone while leaving me with a naturally luminous glow. There is no glitter or shimmer, just a natural luminosity. I have experienced no negative reactions from using Miracle Skin Transformer, and for days when I want a light to medium coverage, I will definitely choose this over any of my traditional foundations. The look is so completely natural it's really unbelievable. It completely lives up to its name. — 5 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

MIRACLE SKIN TRANSFORMER SPF 20
I have to agree with the reviews stating it is not that hydrating. I chose light colour to have a little coverage as I do not wear foundation. The coverage was great and I received many compliments on my skin. I did notice after 3 or 4 days of wearing it that my skin appeared a little dry. I just use a little light moisturiser underneath and it seems to be fine. You just expect that if you pay a significant amount for a product that it would at least do all it claims. — 7 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Wonderful
Use this over a regular moisturizer and chose the translucent as I am very satisfied with my regular foundation. Filled in all the fine lines, makes my face look smooth and feel silky. Make up stays on remarkably well. I don't think it has enough moisturizers in it to use without a moisturizer under it. but even at that this is one of the best products I have ever purchased. — 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Just Gross!
Smelled bad, left legs feeling sticky and uh, I got bronzer all over my sheets... about 2 hours after I'd applied the product. Horrible! — 11 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

very velvety
I tried this at Sephora today. I have been trying to find something light, with coverage for my rosacea sensitive skin. I am very happy with this product and made the purchase today. I love that it does not need a separate primer and my skin does not feel tingly or tight. So far, loving this product. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Ah...where do I start???! This product is truly a miracle worker! It's lightweight, non sticky, and gives just the amount of coverage without piling on the makeup! This is perfect for running errands, working out, or heading to the beach without spending 20 minutes in the mirror! Did I mention how lightweight it is? It glides on smoothly and leaves a barely there makeup look! — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful
