Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System Reviews

It's true - It Works
After a year of fooling around with products to get rid of wrinkles caused by weight loss, I bought the Mia (20% off and free shipping), and I can't believe the difference in my skin. The say the sonic waves deeply penetrate the skin allowing your serums and moisturizers to penetrate deeper. I bought a Lancome anti aging serum and anti aging cream to use after using the Mia. In just ONE WEEK, I saw a difference. The lines are not deep and they actually are going away!. If there is one product you need, this is it. You will be surprised how deeply it cleans and leaves your skin extremely soft! I strongly urge everyone to get this product! (I had tried the Olay brush, which did absolutely nothing.) The Clarisonic is the way to go. — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 19 of 22 people said helpful

Mama Mia, What a Difference!
I have always been meticulous about cleansing my skin (except for the few times I have fallen asleep still wearing makeup, but those are far and few between). I use an oil or cream to whisk away makeup, oil, and grime, and then I follow with a good cleanser or DHC's "White Soap" for a really thick lather. I was happy with the routine for a long time--until Clarisonic's "Mia™ Sonic Skin Cleansing System" hit the shelves and the magazine ads. Shortly afterward, my husband wanted a hint about what to buy for me for Christmas. Normally I hem and haw and ask him to pick something out which he thinks I'll like, but I was more forthright. I was downright gutsy. I said, "Sweetheart, I would love a Clarisonic Mia.™" His initial response was, "A WHAT? I have no idea what you're talking about." So I took him into Ulta where there was one left in pink. "You can have whatever you want, you know that," he told me, "but I thought you had a lot of facial brushes in the bathroom." "I do," I explained, "But this is sonic, like our toothbrush. It has penetrating waves which will clean our pores more thoroughly (note my clever use of the word "our" here)." I went on to explain the other benefits: The soft, gentle brush moves back and forth at more than three hundred times per second, sloughing off old, dead, dry skin cells and allowing new ones to appear. It removes makeup six times more effectively than traditional methods. The cleansing is so thorough that serums and creams you use to avoid or fight wrinkles sink in thoroughly and work more efficaciously. Well, I did receive my wish, and I'm thrilled that I did. My pores are noticeably smaller. Blackheads are just about a thing of the past. My skin is softer, and the products I use seem to be more potent at keeping my skin young-looking. I'm not the only one hooked on Mia™--my husband now uses it as well. Just a tip: Wash the brush frequently and change the head when needed for optimal performance. — 1 month, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 7 people said helpful

Love at first use.
I know many women who owned Clarisonics and I was always slightly jealous. Yeah, for many people, $119 for a Mia system might be a little too much, so it's essential to save up if you're a little tight on cash like me. To my fortune, Clarisonic released a Mia system in time for the holidays which contained an ADDITIONAL deep pore cleaning brush and a 2 oz bottle of the Purity cleanser by Philosophy (which happens to be one of my favorite cleansers EVER). Prior to purchasing this system, I would use those cheap $5 face brushes to manually scrub my face which wasn't nearly as effective as cleaning (but I was on a budget). First off after opening the package--charge the battery. The clarisonic system has a rechargeable battery that you clip on a magnet that is plugged in. Allow the battery to charge fully before disconnecting it. A fully charged battery will allow about 20 uses before it needs to be recharged. Do not try to charge it every night--this kills the battery faster and you must know that Clarisonic rechargeable batteries are not covered under warranty and are quite expensive to replace. I like to apply a foamy cleanser on my face immediately prior to starting the Clarisonic device. They recommend 10 seconds on each cheek, 20 seconds on the chin and forehead. The Clarisonic will instantly shut off after a minute. You ought to know that the outer ring will not spin--although it vibrates from the mechanism, it will not spin because this is to keep your skin in place and allow the inner spinning ring to better cleanse your face in a concentrated spot. The brush can be used up to four months before being replaced, but I recommend replacing it as often as your toothbrush--every 2-3 months. Even though the Clarisonic is waterproof, make sure when you are finished to lie it on its side to dry so the water doesn't submerge. Here's a COOL tip--obviously you can remove the brush, but you can pop out the inner ring and pop that back into the Clarisonic. This will allow you to clean the area around your eyes, nose and cupid's bow area more easily and comfortably. For those who begin to use the Clarisonic, you may experience an initial acne outbreak because the Clarisonic is bringing dirt, oil and bacteria up to the surface that was buried deep in your pores. After continued use, this will go away and you will be left with much smoother and cleaner skin. What I love about using the Clarisonic is that it makes my skin softer and brighter. Using a Clarisonic will make your cleanser up to 6x more effective and any treatments or serums you use will penetrate up to 60% deeper so expect to see better results when you use a Clarisonic! The only difference between the larger system and the Mia system is that the larger system has an additional speed. To some people that might be useful, but to most people, one speed is more than adequate enough. awesome
this clarisonic works just like the bigger size! it has only one speed, which is the main difference. but the speed on the Mia is perfect! i love it! the brushes are very gentle and exfoliating. you can really feel the clean and no matter how many times you wash your face, this is always gentle on your skin.i have suffered from acne before. i always dreamed of owning the clarisonic and when my mom got it for me i was thrilled! i have been using it for over a month now and i have seen a MAJOR decrease in my acne. the clarisonic brush head cleans so deeply, the acne cleansers and acne toners i use really sink in my skin better and cure my acne. i love this so much and it has given me the confidence to feel less self conscious when i dont wear makeup to school. and when i do wear makeup, my skin is smoother and it goes on easier. this product is truly life changing! — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 17 of 19 people said helpful

Deep clean baby soft skin
After much deliberation I bit the bullet and purchased a Clarisonic Mia. I have not once regretted it. I don't have major breakouts, but I do have blackheads and enlarged pores. I got the Clarisonic with the high hopes that it would clear out my pores and make my blackheads disappear, just as many reviewers said it did for them. While this did not perform the miracles that many said it would, I do think that the overall appearance of my skin has improved and that my pores do appear smaller. It is very apparent that my pores are less clogged and that my skin is much more clean than it has ever been. This isn't going to fix every skin issue you have overnight, but I do believe that it will greatly improve your skin over time. Before using the Clarisonic, my skin would often feel like it had a gross film on it even though I washed my face every night and used an exfoliating product a couple times a week. It was getting to the point that I wanted to use a scrub on my face everyday (not good!). The Clarisonic removes that "film" in a gentle, effective way that leaves you with much more radiant and healthy looking (and feeling) skin. I did not experience much of a purging phase like many reviewers have mentioned. I think the experience will vary for everyone though. A few weeks after using I went though a slight breakout (2-3 pimples at the same time) but that was it. I was preparing myself for much worse. If nothing else, the Clarisonic forces you into using a regular skin regime. This alone should improve the appearance of your skin. Knowing that you shelled out over $100 for a face brush should be enough to shame you into washing your face every night. I use this nightly with the delicate brush head and although Clarisonic claims that this is gentle enough to use twice a day, I think that is overkill. Several people only use this a few times a week and they say they still notice results. The choice is yours, but I think incorporating the Clarisonic into your regime can only do great things for your complexion, both short and long term. — 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

From day one, I have LOVED my Mia!
I've been using the Mia (the exact one in the photo, same color) for two years. I was skeptical at first, like so many others. I'd seen it at the dermatologists office and walked away thinking "Wow! Women will really buy ANYTHING these days." I thought it was just another useless product that would get relegated to the back of a closet somewhere after several months of no results. Instead I decided to give it a shot and because I love it so much, I have since purchased a Clarisonic Plus that I've had for about a year. You haven't truly had clean skin until you've used this. No matter what cleanser I choose to use with this, my skin looks and feels amazing thanks to this brush. If it died on me tomorrow, I would replace it in a heartbeat. I don't leave town without this brush, and thankfully the Mia is easier to take on 2+ week trips without needing to be recharged. I use this at least once a day, at first I was using it twice a day, but now that my skin is used to it, once a day is all it really needs. I do switch off between cleansers, but this brush will work with anything so long as there aren't walnut shells or something too heavy in the bristles. It seems to be very popularly used with Philosophy's Purity Made Simple (I've done this and it's a nice combination.). I was breaking out insanely before getting this brush, and now I only break out here and there. I am a firm believer that this brush got my skin balanced enough so that my pores weren't constantly at war with themselves. Not only is my skin clean, smooth, and clear, but everything works better now. Moisturizers sink right in, serums work properly, eye cream does what it's supposed to do. The brush is gentle enough to be considered a form of exfoliation, especially since it helps your skin turn over more quickly, but if you're big on exfoliation to really keep your skin in great shape, you don't have to worry because this brush is gentle enough not to make additional exfoliating an issue. The brush heads last a long time. A system usually comes with 2-3 and that will last you at least a year unless you decide that only one brush type is what your skin needs (I highly recommend removing your make-up completely before using this. That way you're prolonging the use of the brush, and not mucking the bristles up with foundation, etc.). I switch off between Sensitive, Delicate, & the Deep-Pore Cleaning brush based on the time of year and what my skin needs. They pop out easily and pop right back in with just a turn and a click. They're easy to clean and there is one for every skin type. The Mia's are affordable and most of them come with an array of cleansers for you to use with your brush right away, and Clarisonic's cleansers are very nice, and paraben free. All in all, this is a worthwhile purchase. I will continue to do business with them as long as I have a face. Travels well
i own the original Pink Clairsonic and needed something that would travel well. I found it in the Mia. I love love love love this product. When used with Philosophy's Purity, it really does take off all the makeup. It's a mini 2 min facial every time I use it. The only thing I don't like about it is that the brush heads can get a little smelly if they don't air dry all the way. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 14 of 16 people said helpful

HOLY GRAIL!
I'm pretty late to jump on the Clarisonic bandwagon...what was I waiting so long for?!! I've been using the Mia 2 for a month now and my skin looks absolutely glowing and flawless. My main problem were my huge clogged pores, oily skin, and the occasional pimple or two. Within a week of using, my pores shrunk by at least 50% and my once dull skin became glowing and radiant. I'm not even sure how to explain it, my skin just looks plump and like it is glowing from within. It did more than any serum or lotion could ever do for my skin. I am absolutely amazed. My skin is soft and feels balanced now. It didn't break me out at all as it did for others. I'm completely smitten with this product and feel it is completely worth the money. I realize the price does hold a lot of people back but it is so worth the investment. What you get is a high quality tool that delivers exactly what it claims. Your skin will thank you for it! — 11 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 7 people said helpful

Every women should own!
I just bought mine 2 months ago and it has change my life. If I don't use it for a weekend my skin feels horribly and I feel so relieve using it again. My face feels clean, fresh, as it could breath for itself. My skincare routine finally seams to work, my pores are much smaller, and my skin is a lot smoother. Now I'm starting to think of buying the Clarisonic Opal. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 6 people said helpful
