These are smooth and creamy with just a bit of shine. They have a pearl finish, but do NOT look frosty. They really help condition my lips and provide a flawless finish on the lip. i'm not impressed with this lipstick at all. Yes, it is moisturizing, and the smell is nice, but the rest leaves much to be desired. The one I've got is super-sheer, doesn't add any color to the lips, and it does look frosty- too many silvery oversized particles to achieve "shimmery" look. I enjoyed them..
but the shades kind of all feel the same to me. My advice is to just buy ONE, and if you like then expand your horizons. They're nice to wear over a lip color, but they don't look too shimmery alone if that's the way you want to wear it. Excellent
I always like to layer light, shimmery shades over darker lipstick for a dimension-adding effect, so I was excited when Maybelline started advertising these new shades. I already liked their Color Sensational lipsticks, and these are just as good. They're creamy and comfortable. The colors are gorgeous, and the price is fantastic. no pigment
This gives a pleasant shimmer, but there is no pigment whatsoever. Pretty shimmer!
Being a newbie to lipstick, I stuck to products that have had great reviews. And they were right! This gave good color, didn't crease (in lips) and had a pretty shimmer! Absolutely Lovely
I bought this product in Sparkling Sand and I love it. I put it on over Burt's Bees Lip Balm for a soft, shimmery lip or on top of a nude lipstick to soften the look. I bought the color "Pearly Pink." It's the most pink color of them all I believe. The lipstick is pretty sheer so I always layer it. I love the way it looks, and I like that Maybelline came out with a separate line of these pearl lipsticks so I can automatically tell that they have pearl finishes. The lipstick doesn't accentuate the lines on my lips and doesn't dry them out.
