Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquers Reviews

Great color payoff and application
I have recently gotten a few Deborah Lippmann polishes and have been really impressed. What stands out about Deborah Lippmann's range is how prolific her color selection is. Her colors really capture the tone and trend of the upcoming season. I have been looking to her collections for the latest "it" nail color. Apart from trends, the colors really have a wonderful payoff and are quite flattering against the skin. These apply really well, going on smoothly, even if your application isn't perfect. The finish is indicated in the description which is very helpful. This way you know if you are buying a more sheer finish or something that is more creamy and opaque. The wear for these polishes is decent. I haven't had any chipping, however the color does start to recede after a couple of days. These polishes touch up quite well though...the color blends nicer than many of my other polishes. I don't like that some of her special collection colors cost more. These polishes typically retail for $16 which is already expensive, but certain "special" colors cost $18-$20. This i think is pushing it. Lippmann's polishes do not contain many of the harmful ingredients included in most typical polishes which is yet another benefit of her range. — 8 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great colors
Ms. Lippman creates some great colors! Even the glitter polishes make me want to get creative. I love how you can layer the sheer colors like Diamonds and Pearls over other colors to make a unique color. Lippman colors are highly rich in color and even vibrant (Stop & Stare and Daytripper). I'm waiting for the Nordstrom beauty sale hoping that I can score some more polishes, if not Gilt, here I come! — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Splurge on this one!
While most of Lippmann's lacquers cost about $16 a pop, they are well worth the investment. Her line includes some super interesting glitter combinations that you really can't find anywhere else (Boom Boom Pow, Across the Universe, Candy Shop, Mermaid's Dream). I recently received a Lippmann polish in B****** Brew (love the name) and although it's way more vampy than I'd normally go for, I love it. Nice, opaque, rich color that allows you to layer color for more or less darkness. I don't really like the brush (it's very thin and I prefer brushes that offer wider application, like Sally Hansen's Total Salon Manicure line), however it still applied beautifully. Yes, these polishes are expensive, but if you fall in love with a color, treat yourself. You'll feel super pampered every time you use it. — 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

She doesn't make anything that's not worth your money!
The nail lacquers are beyond great! I have struggled with peeling, chipping etc. in almost every nail lacquer I've tried. I'm used to having to paint my nails every two days. On top of that, her base and top coats are to die for. I would suggest the Rock Hard base/top coat to just about anyone. — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love it!
I love deborah lippmann nail polishes because the colors are gorgeous! And they're not typical.. it's pretty expensive but it's ok because the quality of the nail polish itself is great, dries quiet fast and pretty pigmented too! (unless it's a sheer one) and yes one of my favorite shade is across the universe and waking up in vegas. Some colors are limited edition so I suggest go grab it before you run out of it! Oh, and I love the shape of the bottle too! — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Across the Universe and Bad Romance
I will start with the best of the two shades. Across the Universe is gorgeous. It's a navy blue jelly with small glitter and large hexagon glitter. Three coats is best for maximum sparkle. I have never seen a shade like it, so it is worth the $18. I got 4 days of no chip wear, which is good. Excellent quality, the shape of the handle gives good control of the brush. Looks like a cross between the ocean at night and deep space. Bad Romance is a black jelly with fuchsia glitter both small and large. Brush quality and wear were the same as Across the Universe. I wanted to like it more than I did, I felt it didn't have enough glitter- a few of my nails had hardly any. If you have more patience/application skill than I, it would turn out better. — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
