For my lighter complexion, I applied it with a fluffy brush on the apples of my cheeks, then swept just a little bit up my cheekbones toward my hairline, but you could easily build the color as needed for more impact on darker skin tones. According to the company's website, it's safe for use on eyes, cheeks and lips. The blush is also free of parabens and talc.
