Good length of wear
I don't usually wear lipstick, because I worry it will wear off poorly and look awful. But I will wear MAC ProLongwear lipcreams because I know it'll stay put. I actually own four of these! No, It won't make it all day, especially not if you're eating greasy food or whatever--I haven't met a lip product that will! But this is easy to apply, you can reapply it without having the product cake on you, and the colors range from sheer to opaque. The matte finish is a bit dry, and the price is a little more than MAC's regular lipsticks. OVERTIME!
I love Overtime! I use Nymphette Lipglass over it and it's a perfect nude lip. Used alone it does dry out my lips and it has a matte finish which isn't something everyone can pull of. The colors are nice and it goes on smoothly . It doesn't last too long though, had to reapply during the day especially after eating or drinking. Don't forget your primer!
I am a huge fan of MAC lip products and am very particular about the staying power of said products because I wear deep reds exclusively and don't like to constantly reapply or worry about coverage. This is a very nice product, but I find that without religiously applying BOTH a primer and a liner, I will end up with feathering around my lip line - something that does not happen with the MAC matte shades I own (Russian Red, Lady Danger, Ruby Woo, etc). Amazing
I normally don't buy into what I believe is "hype" surrounding MAC products. I feel that there are other products on the market which are just as good at half the price. However, this lipstick is a stand out. I've tried a lot of lipsticks which I THOUGHT I loved, but they don't hold a candle to this one. It goes on smoothly. The color is vibrant and very pigmented. The consistency is excellent and not too thick. And the vanilla-ish smell is just right without being overbearing. There is no lip-sticky smell and it feels very light on.
