Failing the Claim
I recently received a free sample of Jergen's Overnight Repair Nightly Restoring Moisturizer. To get the best use of this product, I decided I needed to change up my nightly routine and take a shower in the evening. After toweling off, I set about using the sample right away. From the first sight of the packaging, I was surprised to find the product claiming that the lotion would repair seven d...read moreays worth of skin damage overnight. I was intrigued to find if the product did serve up to its assertion. I used the entire sample (which seemed to cover every bit of exposed skin) and found the fragrance soft and welcoming. The lotion itself seemed a little thick, but after spreading it among the surface of my body, I found it to cover smoothly. Shortly after completing the coverage, I found little to rub in further. The lotion was absorbing quickly. I finished my nightly routine and climbed into bed not feeling greasy or irritated by the lotion. Except for the slight scent that wafted while I adjusted in bed, I felt as if I hadn't applied the lotion at all. Waking up the following morning, I didn't notice any specific change. I especially didn't notice the repair of seven days worth of skin damage. In fact, I still find my palms to be on the dry side. I don't find the claim on the packaging to be 100% truthful in my case, but overall, I found the product to be hydrating and soothing on my skin. I would recommend this product as an everyday moisturizer instead of an overnight miracle worker. This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
