Mixed Feelings About This Product ...
It was such a pain to use: it was like trying to apply quick-drying tar evenly to your face (and didn't peel off evenly either). But it made my skin look more youthful somehow ... facial lines were less noticeable after using the "mask". If you have the patience to use this product, it does make your skin look great after using it. — 8 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Slick black mask!
I found this mask a little difficult to spread so I wanted to keep putting on more and more but once you get it on it dries quickly and makes your face look like you have on a slick black mask. I liked the way it felt wearing it but was unable to peel any part of it off. It washed off easily and my skin looked great. I had been wanting to go get a facial but this mask has deep down cleaned my pores out. Gentle on my skin too. — 8 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Peeltastic
This product brought me back to junior high when I used to use Freeman's peel off masks. I always got more joy from using those than I did with the wash away masks. It was interesting putting this on because of the black color. It looked so different than anything I had used before. Once it dried I peeled it off and was able to get most of it off unless I didn't make a thick enough layer. It left my face feeling soft and fresh. The price was worth it because of the fun factor of peeling it off at least for me. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Hard to peel off, but good temporary results
Since it is quite thin, I had to use a generous amount of the product to create a thick layer. While it was easy to spread and apply evenly, it was not easy to peel-off the mask. I tried to use it for all over the face (except eye area, lips and hairline), and a little bit of the chin area. I waited about 30 min for it to dry. Some did not come off, so I had to wash my face to remove the remaining pieces. Once the mask was removed completely, my skin was definitely smooth (the mask also removed some of my fine unwanted facial hair). Even though the whole process was a bit time consuming for me and I wish the texture was a tad thicker, I like how this masks made my skin feel smoother and softer. Since my experience of this mask is based only on its sample tube, I cannot say that it gave me “Luminizing” effects. — 8 months, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

One of my favorite beauty products
Initially I tried this product out mostly because my skin was driving me crazy at the time and I wanted something that would really make a difference. For me, this product, over time, did what I needed it to do. It sucked out all the crap in my pores, removed dead skin that exfoliating regularly was unable to get, and yes, the drying time on this one is tricky. I am usually able to remove it after 15 minutes, and by then it is extremely dry. I peel it wherever I can start to feel it lift, and whatever doesn't come off that way gets rinsed off with warm water and damp paper towel. Whenever I want my skin to look fresh and bright, I use this mask at least once a week, but have actually been able to use it once a month with regular Clarisonic use. I don't think this mask will work for everyone, no product does, but I love it. I definitely recommend keeping it as far away from hair as possible because it will yank it out in a heartbeat. I had a mishap with that, and thankfully it's grown back. So, use with caution around the hairline and eyebrows, but definitely try this out because it's really worth it. — 1 month, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Amazing! Great Results!
After using this mask one time, you will see results! It really does what it promises. My pores were clear, my face looked more fresh and luminous, soft, clean and smooth! You do need a lot of product to cover your face because it says to apply a thick layer, but its not too messy. Its black so you can easily see where your putting the product. And the best part, is that if you get it in places you didnt intend, it just washes right off, no hassle. However, it does sting a bit when you start peeling it off, almost like peeling off a bandaid, so just be careful. The price is $34, which is a bit high for 2.8oz but for one, its all natural, and two it delivers results! — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Good and Bad, but More Good
I'm not going to say that this is perfect mask, but I will say that it actually does illuminate the skin and leaves a lasting effect of overall smoothness/glowing. So I would call it effective. BUT, it's not that easy to use. First off..if you put too much on, it will NEVER dry and eventually you will have to wash it off which makes it not so effective. Also, if you put too little on then it will sort of break apart when you try to peel it off and you may have to rub it off, which will also make it less effective. So, be careful about putting on an even, thin layer under which you cannot see your skin but also doesn't feel heavy. Also, if you get it on your eyebrows, hair around forhead, etc...it will pull it out and can be very painful so follow the directions and put it around your mouth/eye area as instructed. At the end of the day, when used correctly over time it will really help your skin...it's just REALLY specific in directions. If you have the patience then I say you must use it. Also a tip, I use a biore nose mask (I love it too much to let go) and put this mask around the rest of my face...I feel the mask doesn't clean the pores on my nose better than the strip but is great for the rest of my face. I can see how this product would irritate sensitive skin. As much as my review looks negative because of the effort put into this mask, I still swear by the lasting results. — 1 month, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Fun "eww!" factor!
This is a unique mineral-rich peel-off facial mask, and the first of it’s kind from the Japanese skincare line—known for their preservative-free and botanically based product formulas. The purpose of the product is to help refine the look of pores and reveal a bright and smooth complexion after peeling off. The product dispenses from a tube, and you might be shocked by it’s appearance and texture. Montmorillonite clay contains 67 beneficial minerals and contributes to it’s unique color. The “feel†of the mask in it’s liquid form is a thick and gooey glue-like texture. When applying the mask, I have to make sure I apply it in a thick, even layer. The first time I used it, I didn’t have it coated very evenly on my face which made it a little bit difficult to peel off completely. You might wish to keep this in mind with your first use in order to achieve the full “peel-off†experience. It takes about 15 minutes to dry completely on my face, and it dries down to a shiny, rubbery appearance. I have no experience with liquid latex, but for some reason the sight of my face made me think I had painted my face with it! It could take a little bit longer to dry on your skin, depending on your climate and how thick you apply your mask. It’s almost like I can see impressions of every single little hole left behind from all of my ginormous pores when I look at the mask I've peeled off! There’s a completely fascinating “eww!†factor involved with this product for sure. Results: I will say that while it does not remove all of the debris that’s clogging up my pores in one shot, there are often a few spots visible on the mask after I remove and carefully inspect it (of course!) that are indicitive of the trapped sebum and gunk that plague my complexion. I’m happy to bid that junk adieu! My skin definitely feels softer and smoother after use too. I’ve come pretty close to removing the mask in one piece by starting at my forehead, babying it around my temples, and then pulling down very carefully—and each time I use it I challenge myself with how few pieces I can remove it in, the least is two. It’s kinda fun in my own demented way! Words of caution: I’ve experienced a few ouchie-dance moments when I’ve applied it too close to my hairline and I ended up pulling some of those baby hairs while peeling it off, and let’s just say that wasn’t fun. I definitely recommend being mindful of the peach fuzz on the sides of your face too. This mask definitely adheres to the skin and causes some pulling when removing it, so I wouldn’t recommend applying it to any peeling or broken skin. — 2 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Okay.
You have to use a THICK layer to get it to peel. I don't really notice any "luminizing," but it does make your skin nice and smooth. Not really worth the price though. — 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
