Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream Reviews

Wonderful
I have combination skin; some parts dry, some oily and some normal. This works well for my skin. It absorbs quickly and feels very refreshing. You instantly feel hydrated and smooth. Works wonders on my skin because I tend to have some dry flaky patches occasionally. This helps keep that smooth, especially under makeup. It feels lightweight and it won't weigh you down or clog your pores. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 9 of 10 people said helpful

Love the Light feel Moisture
To begin, I love the packaging and the color of the gel-cream. It also feels refreshing as it glides on smoothly onto skin. If I were to compare it, I'd say it feels like Clinique's Moisture Surge but for a fraction of the price. — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Unclear
I received a free sample of this and it was very unclear according to the packaging what it was supposed to do. My skin felt moisturized but I didn't feel like this was anything special. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Different!
I got a sample of this gel too and even before applying it I was quite skeptical. I loved the packaging but the product inside was clear and I did not know how it was supposed to be moisturizing. It actually looked like something I could apply on my hair. So I took a little bit after washing my face, and applied it all over my face. I was super impressed. This product is unlike anything I have ever tried before. I loved it. It absorbs and dries super quickly, it also leaves your skin super soft and moisturized. It is also not greasy and actually kind of refreshing. It has a light, fresh scent. The price is not bad either at only five dollars and you can find it practically at any drugstore or grocery store. I will definitely buy again and this one is definitely a new favorite, perfect for the harsh winter months ahead! — 5 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Refreshing, but not for sensitive skin
There are things I really, really like about this moisturizer and things I don't. The price is right. The good--it is light, absorbs quickly, feels refreshing, has a nice texture, a light, pleasant, almost fruity fragrance, it did not cause acne. This would be great for combo skin, when it needs a hydrating pick me up like after a day in the sun or a flight. The bad--the jar packaging compromises the antioxidants by exposing it to the air. Jar packaging in general is not good because it promotes bacteria growth from the oils in your fingers, etc. The ugly--this actually irritated my skin and made it red and itchy every time I use it. The culprits may be the grapefruit extract or fragrance which are always potentially irriating to skin. I do have sensitive skin so this may or may not be an issue for you. It is similar to Clinique's moisture surge (I like the spray gel)--Garnier is less expensive, but Clinique does not irritate or contain fragrance and come in a refreshing spray bottle. — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 7 people said helpful

Great Moisturizer
I had the opportunity to sample this product and absolutely love it because it works so great at adding moisture to my skin, and helps my skin look fresh and renewed. The gel is easy to apply and doesn't feel oily or greasy and quickly absorbs into my skin. This gel-cream is a great way to relax my skin and pores and helps my skin feel hydrated. — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 8 people said helpful

Moisture Rescue is Refreshing
I have been using this product for the last 10 days. Amazing and powerful Moisture rescue. I love the light refreshing feeling this product provides. The look of my skin is amazing, soft supple smoothness instantly and hydrates 24/7. I would recommend to all my friends. Two weeks and your skin responds. — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 7 people said helpful

I love it!
I have very oily skin, so gel moisturizers that absorbs quickly without any film on skin are my favorite. I was using H2O plus and Clinique moisture surge but they cost too much, so I'm so happy that finally a drugstore brand offers this. — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 8 people said helpful

would not buy
I did not care for this gel cream at all. I'm sensitive to fragrance and this cream had a bad smell. The gel consistency was ok. I did not see any good change in my skin after using it, in fact my skin actually felt drier. I used to like Garnier products when they first came out but the last few items I bought I did not like at all. Don't know if they changed or my skin sensitivity has. — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 8 people said helpful

Too Much Alcohol
This product has been compared often in ads to Clinique's Moisture Surge Extra, which is a pink gel. I have tried the Clinique product several years back and liked it. However, this product was not moisturizing enough for me. I am 31 and my skin has always been fairly oily until I turned 30. It is still oily, but it gets oily as the day goes on and it isn't as much as it used to be. I much anticipated this product, but when I looked at the ingredient list, I was surprised that alcohol was listed as the second ingredient. I thought, well, I'll still give it a shot! (I thought I could use it with my Dermalogica Active Moist to bust my moisturization without having to spend more money on another Dermalogica product.) When I opened the jar, it smelled very strongly of alcohol. I then applied it to my face and it left my skin looking dull andmy cheeks turned a little red for a moment. My other moisturizer leaves it looking healthy and dewy. Maybe this would be best for someone in their teens or twenties with excessive oil production and/or acne. For me and my comb dry skin, it wasn't enough. — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 6 people said helpful
