Just okay
I don't really think this did anything for me. I ended up getting it in my eye which was uncomfortable. I also tend to not have particularly oily skin so my powder and foundation work just fine on their own. This may be more useful to someone who needs more than just a primer. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 8 people said helpful

Pricey but amazing!
I have quite oily skin and can't make it til 4pm without that oily sheen even with mattifying powder. I was a bit skeptical about this but once I tried it I was completely sold. I feel so confident with this because I haven't been able to stay matte all day since I was 12. — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 14 of 15 people said helpful

Shine still comes through for extremely oily skin types
This product is one of the best ways to control shine because it doesn't interfere with your foundation. Spray this before you apply your foundation. I use a paper fan to dry it completely, then apply my foundation. The foundation doesn't ever get streaky or draggy, which many mattifying products do. I also tried applying over my foundation, but this didn't seem to make it any more effective. I have very oily skin, so shine did break out after 4 hours or so, so it doen't work all day. I also have a travel size version, which I sprayed after I had oil breakthrough, but it didn't mattify nor make it go away. I had to blot my oil using oil blotting sheets for the rest of the day, as usual. — 11 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 5 people said helpful

Who knew?
This product left me amazed! I purchased it after reading the reviews; my skin is on the oilier side and I am doing my best to resist this primer craze! :) (If I spend $30 on foundation, shouldn't it just work, ladies??) I went on the Urban Decay website, still resisting stores from the post-holiday rush, and it was HALF off. I got the larger bottle, 6 oz, for only $18. It's super easy to ease and almost miraculous. After you wash your face and moisturize, spritz 2-4 times before applying foundation than 2-4 more times after all of your makeup is applied. Normally, I am an oil slick by lunchtime, but I was just a little "dewey" instead. I blotted and then I was good for the rest of the day. Some department stores products are just worth it; this is one of those! Plus, think of it this way; all of those tissue blotting papers? I can now go through a packet in 3 months, not 3 weeks. My pores are so grateful. :) — 3 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Miracle product!!
I have been using a setting spray for years and have been pleased with the help they have given me. I have extremely oily skin and usually am greasy 3 hrs after makeup application. I got this with the powder and honestly i have not needed to use the powder at all. I live in So Cal and it gets warm, this product is amazing and i will buy again and again! You apply before and after makeup ( i used over my regular primer) This product has changed my life. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 16 of 16 people said helpful

lame
I just reviewed a primer by Sephora and I think I got this one at the same time. I got a little sample bag with my last order and there were several of these types of products included. This was not helpful. I did not find this product to decrease shine in the least. It even says you can apply it before and after makeup. No combination made it any better. I got several primers/deshine products and this was the worst of them all. I do not think the mist is effective so get the product to penetrate the skin. I even tried rubbing it in one time. That, too, did not make any difference in its effectiveness. I have used the Urban Decay eye primer in the past and did not find that effective, either. I have to say that I have not been super impressed with their products. They do not have nearly the efficacy of other brands with that same claim. Plus they are one of the more costly brands on the market. I think the mist delivery system is too ethereal and maybe evaporates before it can properly do it's described job. I noted that directly after application as well as once the makeup (I use a mineral powder preparation for my foundation) was applied did not make any noticeable difference in shine level. I know Urban Decay has a more lotion-type primer and perhaps this is better. But as I mentioned in the beginning of this review I did not find the eye primer effective at all. I am always on the lookout for good oil control products and I need to peruse the other product postings and reviews here. Good luck and happy hunting! — 5 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful

Didn't work for me!
This product was pricey, and I was very hopeful, but it didn't work for me at all, AND it broke out my face after just a couple of uses. I ended up throwing it away! Disappointing! — 1 month, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Holds up great
I was a little skeptical about how well this would work, but I'm now seriously addicted to it (which is kind of unfortunate because it is a little pricey). If I forget to use it, it's obvious whenever I look in a mirror or touch my face. I have mildly oily skin, and this keeps almost all of my oil at bay. A little bit does come through, but it makes me skin look sliiiiightly dewy, but not oily at all. It's also fantastic for keeping blush, powder, bronzer, etc. vibrant and in place for hours. The directions say to use it before and after applying foundation. I don't know if it's necessary to use it before, but definitely use it after. If I don't use it after I slick up quickly. I've also found that you only need 3 sprays of it: one on your forehead area, and one of each side of the lower half of your face). Keep your eyes closed while you spray it. After you spray it, walk forward and then open your eyes so it doesn't get into them, but open your eyes quickly so your mascara doesn't get sticky and make your lashes stick together. All in all, I definitely recommend this product if you have oily skin and/or have trouble getting your makeup to stay put all day. — 4 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Stay matte!!
My T zone of my face looks less shinny.. Bought this after urban decay make up-make over at beauty store. The make up artist sprayed this over my face. And I intentionally not washing my face till the next day to see how it goes. I couldn't believe that my make up is still there with no shine. FYI, it was back in the summer when the weather reached 80 at night. 9 stars from me :) — 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
