Ultra-Feminine and Beautiful
Experimenting with new scents is a continual fascination. Recently I had a sample of Viktor & Rolf's "Flowerbomb" and bought it--both in the spray version and the rollerball for carrying in my purse. It is, as the name suggests, a floral fragrance, with notes of Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Cattleya Orchid, and Ballerina Freesia Bloom in a base of Patchouli. It can be heavy when first applied, but it is ultimately feminine and very beautiful when it has a chance to meld with your own body's chemistry. Beautiful!
This is my favorite scent. I wear it only for the most special occasions because those are the moments I want the scent to remind me of. It can be a bit heavy, but I think it's a good kind of heavy. I think it's a very sexy, feminine perfume. I bought the rollerball first because it's less of an investment but eventually bought a spray as well and the rollerball stays in my handbag for the previously mentioned special occasions. Poor lasting power
I bought a bottle after seeing their eye catching ad on a fashion magazine. When I went to a department store, I could not believe how expensive it was (1.0 oz for more than $70). If I didn't have a gift card, I would not have bought it. Anyhow, I usually wear fruity or woody scent perfume/cologne, not too often flower-based ones. Nevertheless, I think Flowerbomb, despite the name, their floral scent is not the dominant part. It has a strong almost candy like sweet scent. It does not smell bad, but the scent is just quite familiar. It is very strong when I apply, but the fragrance fades away very quickly. The staying power needs some improvement. Overall, I think this is overpriced for a perfume that its scent doesn't last long, but I definitely fell for their brilliant marketing/advertisement. Now the bottle sits on my vanity as a decoration. I Wish It Lasted Longer
Flowerbomb opens up very promising fruity-floral. The base note is patchouli but I got to try this perfume by sample packet [I still have around 10 more lol] and wasn't aware of the notes when I first tried it out. The dry down smells absolutely nothing like patchouli to me and I HATE that scent so I would know. It stays pretty floral on my body and just suddenly disappears without a trace. Attack of Flowers
The name Flowerbomb is fitting for this perfume because when I opened the sample in the magazine I felt like someone bombed my face with flowers. Great Fragrance
I really love this fragrance for the summer because it is light and airy and lasts a long time. The scent is a little fruity and very feminine, but not too sweet. Wow nice scent

nice scent

Enchanting but where....
I will wear nothing else. However...Where does it go? If i spray this wondrous scent on my skin it is gone within one hour. For the price it hurts my heart sometimes to spend $140 on something that has no lasting power. The trick for me is spraying it mostly on my clothes, and when I can letting it sit on the clothes I have picked out for the next day. Is the product worth the effort? To me? I love it.
