Dior DiorShow Extase Mascara Reviews

Pretty Good
I received a deluxe sample of this from Birchbox. I like the original Dior Show, but don't buy it anymore because I have found others that I like just as much for less money that don't dry out as quickly. I like that the Extase is a bit of a wetter formula so the mascara will have a longer shelf life. The brush is a bit odd. It waves in and out. I'm not sure what the point of the unique wand is, but it attaches to the lashes quite nicely. This mascara is great at giving volume and length without clumping. Once I go through the mascaras I have amassed, I may look into buying this. For the money it isn't a super unique product, but it is effective at lengthening and volumizing the lashes without clumping. — 7 months, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Ties with "The Falsies"
I bought this and really like it. I didn't have to use much to get my eyelashes long and thick. I did need to use a separator to make sure that my lashes didn't stick together. — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Favorite Mascara ...EVER!!!
If you like the suuuuuuuuuuuuuper thick lash look and don't want to wear false eyelashes then this is the mascara for you. I already have somewhat gorgeous eyelashes...but this mascara makes them exceptional. I'm a mascara addict - always trying the new ones and this is the only one that gets a perfect 10. Couldn't ask for better. Though they make clump sometimes, it's nothing serious. — 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

My new fave Dior mascara!
First, I think the tiered brush is fabulous. The shape allows me to grab several lashes at once and doesn’t miss the tiny ones on both the inner and outer corners. It’s a nice glossy black that doesn’t look dry, and I had zero flaking. It lengthened, thickened, curled, and defined my lashes with little effort on my part other than applying a few coats. I haven’t been using it long enough to speak to any of the treatment benefits, but my lashes do not feel brittle or dry after makeup removal. I’d love to see what the end result is after several weeks of use, as Dior has a patented ceramide formula in Extase, SR 38. A single swipe on my top lashes had me sold, but two was great, and three was perfect with no eyelash curler required. With continued use, DiorShow Extase might be well on it’s way to becoming one of my HG mascaras. — 3 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Not impressed
As a fan of the original installment, I found this to be underwhelming and rather disappointing. The brush seemed to make my lashes clump and the formula made them hard and "crunchy". More importantly, I didn't notice ANY of the volumizing effects that the original Diorshow formula produced. Not a fan. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Diorshow extase
I love the mascara formula, but I HATE the brush! It takes twice as long to get even lashes when I k ow with a normal brush it would take less then a minute. — 11 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Wanted to love it but didn't
I wanted so badly to love this...As someone with long but lighter-than-I'd-like-them-to-be lashes, the promise of big, dramatic doll-eyed nighttime lashes sounds great. Unfortunately this product didn't deliver. The brush was awkward to use, the formula was clumpy and gloppy -- and I usually LOVE a good, thick volumizing mascara-- and after applying I had a lot of post-application clean up to do around my eyes, which isn't the norm for me. The formula is heavy enough that it straightened the work of my eyelash curler, so if you have straight lashes, I recommend overcurling them a bit, because this WILL stick to your lashes if you try to recurl (as I found out the hard way when I broke my own rule about never curling after mascara). Eventually I got a decent result after playing around with this mascara a lot, but it was a long way getting there, and for the price point I expect better performance. On the plus side, it didn't irritate my eyes or contact lenses, but there was a bit of flaking by the end of the evening. Try again, Dior! I've liked other Dior mascaras, but this one? Meh. — 11 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

(null)
I was very excited about this mascara. However, in my opinion, the hype wasn't worth it. "The brush is inspired by the tiers of a ruffle skirt." The brush simply made my lashes clump. The formula made my lashes hard, however there was a decent curl. It gave no volume and minimal length. Disappointed is an understatement. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Really makes my eyes pop!
I was given a sample of the mascara to try as I really LOVE Dior products and the salesgirl warned me that it might get a bit clumpy so I was a bit sceptic at first. However, as from the first application all my doubts were washed away. It covers all the lashes with just one application giving volume and length. My lashes appeared fuller and it also covered my light ends ( my eyelashes are quite fair). It gives a truly false lash effect ( most probably you'll throw away your falsies after giving this a try!). Its consistency is quite thick so what really helped me avoid my eyelashes to clump together was to use a lash curler before applying the mascara - once you get used to it you can avoid this step. Although the colour is very intense it is quite forgiving in the case of smudging. Another thing which I really like (apart from the fact that it can be removed very easily) is that it is quite gentle on sensitive eyes and if you forget to remove it before going to bed (oops!!) it does not flake in the morning and does not damage the lashes. Definitely my favourite mascara EVER! — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
