Clinique High Lengths Mascara Reviews

Not for me
I was excited that I had received a trial sized version of this mascara in a sample gift set from the Clinique counter at the mall, and while I have had good results with Clinique mascaras that I have used in the past, I cannot say that this one is a keeper. My first impression of it was that I really love the glamorous, clean look of the package-- the white with silver is so classy looking, and you know right away whenyou see it that you are using a Clinique product. But when I opened it, I was immediately hit with a strange, medicinal odor from the product. Deciding to try it anyway, I took a look at the brush and saw that it was not really a brush at all, but more of a very short comb. Unfortunately, I didn't like how it performed, as it deposited too much of the mascara on my lashes, even though I wiped the applicator down with a tissue twice before putting it on to my lashes. The results that I got upon applying it to my lashes were very clumpy and streaky, and there was really no way to get definition through the lasheswith the brush that comes in it. The formula is way too wet in my opinion; I did not feel like it was ever going to dry. I did really like the color of it, though-- the black was very rich and deep, and that is something that I am particularly picky about. But the color on its own is not enough to get me to use this mascara again. it was just too messy and the comb-type brush just seemed like a useless gimmick. The formula on its own might actually be okay, and I intend to try it with a different, traditional brush, to see if I can make some use out of it. Otherwise, I will probably just throw this one away. — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Beautiful Lengths
I love the brush of this mascara, the slight bent gives a nice curl while also providing wonderful lengths. I would recommend as with an mascara to curl your lashes first because that really makes the difference of making your eyes pop and stand out beautifully. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

The formula was good, but I can't use the wand on my lashes. — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 5 people said helpful

I love how cute my lashes look when I use this!
This is a really good mascara if your going for the cute girly look. It makes my lashes look long and fluttery and it doesn't even look like I'm wearing mascara so my lashes look naturally long. Only con is the brush takes a few tries to get used to but after that it's fine. — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

AKA No-clump mascara, but nothing else...
Not a super original mascara. It is basically a mascara brush in a tube. It takes some adjusting. It is great with clumps - but it is hardly because of the formula. After all, it is a mascara COMB to begin with. I would expect not to have clumps. However, the lengthening properties are disappointing. Most mascara formulations are mostly the same, give or take, but it is the brush/wand and the technique of the user that makes the most difference. I was not impressed with this product. I applied two coats and my lashes were very natural looking, but not very extended. It didn't really do anything much at all. — 3 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

wow
i love this mascara. it really lengthens without clumping because of the design of the bristles. my lashes look darker but yet so natural. if thats the look youre goin for then this is amazing. the one bad thing is it can kinda rub off. but i always add waterproof and yay! all good to go — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Inconvienent
I got a trial sized version of this & wasn't impressed. The wand looked promising at first; it's small and slender so I figured it'd be great for edge and bottom lashes but then I noticed how much product this thing picked up. You get so much mascara on the wand that you have to spend a lot of time cleaning it off to make sure you don't get yucky clumps. In any case, I managed to get this on fine & provided you keep the brush clean, you don't get clumps! But you also don't get much length added which is fine for me since I already have long lashes but I think short lashed gals would be disappointed. You basically get a natural look so I'll stick with something cheaper. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

The Best Mascara Out There
I swear by this product. I refuse to use anything else. This is truly the best mascara on the market. Really extends lashes, never clumps, lasts awhile. Works on any type of lashes. Wish Clinique didn't test on animals but other than that, fantastic. — 2 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Not for me
This mascara does lengthen my lashes, but it does not hold a curl. My lashes stick straight out, so it is mandatory for me to curl them. However, this just makes my lashes go flat again. So there is no point for the lengthening part if you can't even see my lashes in the first place. Did not like. — 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

This is my favorite mascara!
I have naturally thick, long lashes. Before I found this mascara I really didn't bother with mascara that often because people assumed I was wearing some anyway. But after I tried this mascara at a Clinique counter, I immediately fell in love with it and bought it. My lashes looked even longer (whoa) and curled up like I used a lash crimper. Even a lady who worked for a different company complimented it and said "Now that's some good mascara, and I work for their competition" haha. This WILL flake into your eyes if you wear it overnight (not that you should be doing that anyway, but it happens sometimes). Oh, this also comes off easily with soap and water, yet it doesn't have a problem with smudging. — 11 months, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
