Garnier The Brusher Gel Cleanser Reviews

I hated this product.
It was too hard to get the product from the bottle to the brush. And it just didn't make my face feel clean. Threw it out. — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Pretty nifty!
I was initially concerned that the bristles would be too stiff and scratch my skin, but they’re actually quite soft and flexible. If it’s a concern of yours, you’ll see what I mean when you feel it! These are definitely more like long massaging “fingers†if you will, not so much a scrub-let in my opinion. To use The Brusher, I simply twisted the collar of the bottle counterclockwise, moistened the brush, lightly squeezed the bottle to allow some of the cleansing gel to come through the slit, closed the collar, and then applied it by lightly massaging the brush on my face in small circular motions. The initial squeeze of cleanser was plenty, this doesn’t require you to keep squeezing the bottle while you’re using it (that would be a mess and a half!). I wouldn’t rely on this to remove all of your makeup if you are the type of gal that runs straight for her cleanser without using some sort of makeup remover first, it’s not going to provide a super-deep clean all on it’s own if you’ve got primer, foundation, and the whole nine yards on, and we should all probably be using a makeup removing wipe of some sort anyway! But what it did do for me was massage and stimulate my skin (making it look brighter), cleanse effectively, and provide extremely light resurfacing benefits. This will not take the place of your exfoliation treatment products, in my eyes–it’s really more like an extension of and an added benefit of using the cleanser…an upgraded version of good old-school manual cleansing. I do like the formula of this gel, it lightly foams from the brush movements and didn’t make my skin feel tight or dry after cleansing. I have combination skin–oily t-zone, normal-to-dry everywhere else, so it was a good fit. It also smells pretty darn good–kinda fruity, very clean. After a week of use, I found it to be pretty gentle, yet stimulating thanks to the brush. If your skin just seems a little “blah†and you prefer gel-based cleansers, I would say give this one a shot. You may either love the whole brusher idea, or not like it at all and I think that might be the deciding factor for you. The reason I like the brush is because I feel like it’s waking up my facial skin’s circulation and telling it to get perky! To be completely honest, I would be interested in the cleanser all on it’s own minus the brush, even if it wasn’t marketed as The Brusher Gel-Cleanser. — 3 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 9 people said helpful

Great for my pregnant skin
I am pregnant and with that my skin was a mess. I decided to try this because living in Colorado I have very dry skin and exfoliating is a must. I noticed a difference right away. My pimples are almost gone and my face radiates like a pregnant woman's should. I will keep using and suggest thisvproduct to women with a similar need. If you follow the directions the gel comes out easily. Turn it upside down squeeze and before turning it back over close the neck so the gel can't go back in. — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Love for washing, and going green!
I love this scrubber, and when I studied abroad I toted this across the 'pond' with me, it lasted the entire time I was there! So that definitely says something about it's life, because I used it every day! I love that it is a scrubber that is gentler, and you can really control where it goes and how hard you scrub. Additionally, just a minor perk, you can turn the water off while you scrub, so it's doing something good for the earth! What Garnier should do, however, is make their scrubbers refillable or something, and make a line of refillable packs that can be poured into the bottle. Because I would most likely purchase it! — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Meh.
It's OK. But there are a million drug store facial cleansers that are better. The bristle thing is kinda dumb actually. Didn't even use it. I don't like it for my oily skin. I felt like it left a residue afterwards. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Comfortable soft brush
I like the gel formula, which rinses off easily. The bristles are very soft...maybe too soft. It takes about 20 seconds of massaging my face with the bristles before they actually feel like they are cleaning my face. Because the bristles are so soft, it works great to exfoliate my lips. My face feels smoother afterwards, and the smoothness lasts through most of the day. My only complaint is that as another reviewer mentioned - it's a little akward to squeeze the gel cleanser out of the bristle top. Sometimes too much comes out and sometimes not enough. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

I like it but...
...it's hard to get the gel out of the container & onto the brush. It cleanses well and leaves my face feeling invigorated. I like it--i just wish it were easier to get the product out of the container and onto my skin. — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

A decent buy
My husband saw this cleanser on Tv and suggested I give it a try as he knows how much I like my skin to be squeaky and clear. So we picked this up for a meer $6 at our local walmart and I can only say that I expected a miracle I guess from the brush, while it feels good on the skin, I don't feel like it really does all that it claims and the smell isn't appealing. The only reason I give this a 5 is because it did make my skin alittle brighter, but I had to go to something else as this wasn't achieving the clean that I prefer, as well as leaving behind dry patches no matter how hard I scrubbed. If you like something alot less harsh for light cleansing then this might be the ticket for you. :D — 2 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Works Pretty Well.
The cleanser works pretty well. It exfoliates at a good amount and cleans pretty well. My only problems are the fact that it takes a while to make the cleanser become moist and the smell. It takes a while to make it actually sud so it will work, and I have to keep getting water on it. Then the smell; it's not BAD, but it could use some improvement. Otherwise, it does exactly what it says. It keeps your skin moisturized and it feels REALLY good. — 2 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
