Love It!
This was one of the first mascaras I've ever purchased and maybe it has the effect of a first love, but it just did wonders for my sparse, invisible lashes. I really love the fact that it's organic and the packaging is so pretty. The bristles of the brushes nicely separates the lashes and the smell isn't exactly pleasant, but I've come to love the smell.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Didn't like it at all
This only reason I'm giving this mascara three stars is because I want to support a more natural product, and I usually like most of "Physicians Formula" products I try. However, I got this mascara because it was on sale, and the sales person recommended it to me as one of the best mascaras she tried, so I bought not one, but two of them! Greedy me! ;) I honestly didn't like anything about it. ...read moreThe brush has very thick rubber bristles and they don't really grab on to my lashes as all. I don't know if it's my lashes, but there is nothing particularly unusual about them. I have medium length, medium thickness lashes - nothing out of the ordinary. So because the brush can't really hold on to them, I find it very hard to transfer enough color on my lashes so that they look coated. And forget about lengthening them. I mean this mascara doesn't claim that it makes them longer - granted that. But, usually when you put a coat of mascara on, they still look a bit longer because they are so much more defined. The ends of our lashes (unless your are very black naturally) are usually a bit lighter because they get slightly lightened by the sun. So this mascara doesn't give any definition to my lashes because it's so hard to get enough color on them. And I personally think that when you get a mascara, it's got to have at least one of these two things going for it: color or length. Not impressed
So far, I have not been impressed with Physicians Formula mascaras. All have let me down, this product included. It looked nice right after I put it on. My lashes looked natural with just a little bit of added volume. But, as the day went on I ended up with racoon eyes and tiny black flakes on my face. ok mascara
I bought this because my new obsession is finding good products with safer ingredients. If Tinkerbell had mascara, I'm pretty sure it would look like this, and I think the packaging is a little much...but, this rates really well in terms of ingredient safety, and it brushes on almost exactly like LashBlast, which I've been using for a while. The regular black is actually way darker than I was expe...read morecting, and it looks good. It does smudge and run pretty easily, like other readers have said, but it also comes off of your undereyes easily if it does end up down there, which sometimes happens to me but it's barely noticeable. I wear hard contacts and my eyes feel irritated some days, but it's hard to tell if this contributes to that or not, because all kinds of stuff causes it. Nice Definition, Especially with Saline
I'll get it out of the way now... I think there are better mascaras made by Physician's Formula. That being said, this mascara is nice for clean and more natural-looking definition, even in Ultra Black. The brush's bristles are not only recyclable, which is awesome, but do a good job separating my lashes. I haven't noticed flaking or smudging but I did notice that the formula started drying out ve...read morery quickly despite my never pumping the brush to get more product. Thankfully, Pinterest advised me to put a few drops of saline solution (my contact lens solution) into the bottle, and now it seems Ultra Black got ultra blacker as well as much easier to apply through my lashes. Review subject
This mascara does not clump, but it stays really "wet" even after all day wear. There is no volume produced and it does a sub par job of separating lashes. Money horribly spent
I love my Physicians Formula products and have been using various of their products for years. However, I was dismayed at the results this particular mascara gave me. The applicator is not the best and although lashes look fantastic upon application, it does not take long for this to start smearing skin around lashes. Looks AMAZING AT First
I really wanted to love this product. It has good ingredients and is fairly priced, which I look for in a product. It goes on great; and gave my lashes a boost of volume. Lasts Well
This mascara is pretty good. It's not as dramatic as my fave from Buxom, but does add thickness. It also stays on well throughout the day, without flaking or clumping.
