Not bad, but not as amazing as the originals.
I was really excited about these coming to Walmart, since I LOVED the original Hard Candy line that they used to carry at Nordstrom, with the gummy rings in hearts and stars and circles. Unfortunately, these rings are hard plastic, and all of them are hearts. They are affordable, and there are some great colors. But the two shades I have (Beetle and Mr. Wrong) chip within a few days of wear, even with base and top coats. Maybe it's because they're shimmer polishes? The other shade I have has huge iridescent glitter, but it's kind of lumpy and I've only used it a few times, because the glitter chips off. So cute
This nail polish has won me over, and it wasn't just the cute ring that sealed the deal. I bought this in frenzy, which is a teal/aqua shade that's dramatic, bright and happy. The polish is a solid color and you don't need multiple coats to get the color in the bottle, just a few easy strokes and it's perfect. Matte Top Coat
I recently purchased the Matte top coat from Hard Candy and really enjoyed the product. Used to be better?
I remember how popular Hard Candy was when it first came out. A few months ago I was surprised to see that Walmart sells them. It was a good deal. Maybe the bottle I got was old or something. I mixed several times, but it was still goopy. Yet the color, Pink Pearl, was too sheer. I had to do triple coats. The color was nice, but since I triple coated, some peeled off by the end of the day. I thought Hard Candy was much better, but again, it was maybe just my bottle. Hard Candy Just Nails Polish
I walked thru Wal Mart, and I thought I saw Hard Candy Cosmetics, I couldn't believe it, there they were. My first Hard Candy love were the nail polishes, so I picked up a few for old times sake, and I still love them. The go on great, have great colors with cool names, and if you use a good base coat and reapply a good top coat every day, you will have very little tip wear and a manicure that looks good for 5-7 days. My hands are in water all the time, and I don't wear gloves when I do house work, so I am the worst type of person when it comes to my nail colors. I haven't tried any of the new cosmetics, but it is so nice to have Hard Candy Nail Polish back, they are worth every penny. So Cute
I didn't have any problems with chipping but then again, I use a good base coat & top coat whenever I do my nails. I find that that usually helps even bad, cheap polishes stay on. I have this in a hot pink & bright turquoise color & I only need to apply one coat to get a the color on the bottle on my nails and it dries very quickly. I can't say much for the color selection; I grabbed up the last 2 bottles in the store.
