Nope not ginormous, I bought this at Wal-mart in Purple Haze and well it's not really great mascara, however it gets the job done and that's really all I care about. The mascara I bought is suppose to be purple but doesn't come out looking that way, you have to use a lot for the purple to show up, it's really no better then Max Factor colored mascara, however this one will actually show up if you work with it. Not sure why this mascara is named with such exaggeration, but it worked like an ordinary mascara. I liked the fact that it separated my lashes nicely. The wand works really well for separation. But doesn’t do much as far as volumizing and lengthening. As I was on my fourth coat, I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, because I wasn’t seeing a whole lot of difference. But I follow all the tricks in applying mascara, so I know it wasn’t me. Also, on the matter of packaging for this product, it’s a bit excessive. The cardboard tube is made of hard material capped with two plastic pieces at the ends (kind of like the stuff you ship posters or rolled up paintings in.) I do like the fact that they don’t test on animals, definitely a plus. But the ingredients aren’t very natural. If you're looking for a not-too-dramatic day mascara this would be a good pick. I was wary when I saw the size of the brush; it's really quite large & since my lashes are thin this usually translates to smudge-y application. Surprisingly, I had no smudges at all from the application & it actually worked quite well at coating my lower & corner lashes. The formula isn't especially pigmented (I have definitely seen darker) & is comfortable to wear. It is light-weight, holds a curl well, & doesn't give lashes a dried out feel. It lasts several hours but it gets very flakey around the 7-9th hour of wear. That's not a huge problem for me because i normally don't need a mascara that lasts much longer than that but if you do, you might want to pass this one up. It gives good definition & the lengthening power is ordinary, but it leaves much to be desired when trying to create volume. It didn't make my lashes look "ginormous", it was just ok. I've used many other mascaras that have a similar effect to this one. It defines my lashes pretty well, but it tends to clump. Fab mascara - ulra cheap, doesn't flake and lots of fun colors!

I try tons of mascaras every year and the majority don't pass muster. Hard Candy's Ginormous Lash volumizing mascaras are ultra-affordable, don't flake, smudge or wander; and they really do make your lashes look thicker. All for under ten bucks! The Ginormous lash mascaras come in black, bronze, silver, purple and blue. Since I adore unusual mascara colors - I picked up Dime and Purple Haze. The application wand is an exact duplicate to Dior Show's Iconic mascara wand (Dior Show for some reason has tons of fans - it's way too pricey for me and the formula isn't really that great in my testing). The wand is a rubberized comb style (very similar to my beloved Physician's Formula Mineral Wear mascara), with rubber bristles all-the-way-around. It makes the mascara easy to apply on upper and lower lashes; plus it reaches close to your lash line and into the corners. Purple Haze looks like a bright pastel purple in the tube, but darkens on your lashes to a deeper purple after about five minutes. Dime is simply a bright silver mascara. Love it! Both colors look great alone (with simple eye makeup), or apply black mascara first then use the colorful Hard Candy Ginormous mascaras just on your lash tips as a highlight. Highlighting the lash tips will really pop open up your eyes... hint, hint for those days when you're lacking sleep. Another bonus? I just saw it today at Walmart and was really surprised and had to get it. It was ok compared to Loreal , Covergirl, and other at your Walmart store.
