easy to apply, stays well
I've tried other brand of nail strips in the past, and there have been both pros and cons to them, but I must say that these are really high quality for this type of product. First of all, they are really easy to apply. The strips peel off the the packaging easily, they lie flat on your nail and even peeled back again when I had an air bubble and needed to re-adjust it. There is no drying time or worries about dinging your nails, you can immediately go about your business with dry, beautiful nails. The color looked really nice on my nails as well, and I got lots of compliments on it. The cons - if you already have weak, chipped nails, then this product will chip. The second con, it was really difficult to remove,. It took a lot of nail polish remover, and the glittery basecoat got all over my fingers and took a couple of days to get off entirely. Tricked into buying more
I just bought Incoco today at the mall. The sales girl reeled me in and applied a nail strip over my existing gel nail. I had planned to get a mani/pedi that day so her timing was perfect. She explained that she would apply the strips to all of my nails if I bought the kit for $65.00. I would get 5 colors. I agreed and sat down. She started to buff the top and bottom of my nails and then explained that I had to have this SPECIAL buffer that cost $20. I told her NO! She insisted and said she could not use her existing buffer. I HAD to buy one. At this point, I was forced to buy the darn buffer - she sold it to me for $10. I do not like being swindled. She did a nice job applying the strips but I felt dirty when she was finished. Several times, she tried to upsale the $65 kit into a bigger, more expensive kit. Unbelievable staying power for 'real girls'!
Look, I'm a practical gal. I have to wash dishes, take out the trash and bath babies. I seldom have time to spend ages (or a fotune!) on a manicure. but when I do, I'd like it to last. When I saw this product for the first time, I was intrigued, but sceptical. The sales assistant saw me eyeing these, and immediately started gushing about them - she was wearing these in "passion' at the time. It looked gorgeous! I bought a pack, figuring if it didn't work out, I'd chalk it up to experience. Boy, was I surprised! It took my inept, awkward fingers less than 10 minutes to apply and file down perfectly. The colour is smooth and glossy and looks just like the real thing. It didn't mess everywhere. It doesn't smell awful. And best of all, its has been a week an a half, and I have had not a single chip!! These are going to be a permanent fixture in my beauty budget. Best thing since sliced bread
