NYX Cosmetics NYX Trio Eyeshadow Reviews

Nine Stars for NYX Shadows!
NYX knows how to do shadow right. I would put them up against MAC colors and consider them the better value, considering the price. Take their "Trio Eye Shadow," for instance. For just $7.00, these eye-catching palettes are available in nineteen combinations. I love "Lake Moss" for a dark, brooding look (deep purple, navy blue, and moss green) to "Sweet Lagoon," especially fun and useful for the summer months (pearly mint/green, silvery blue, and blue/green). They can be used dry for any look you want to achieve; add want and you've created intense pigment and drama. The formula is crease- and flake-free, long-lasting lasting, and very flattering on women on all complexions. They go on very smoothly and blend well. You can't possibly go wrong with buying one of these palettes (or two or ten!). — 23 hours, 13 minutes agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Boooo
I found these eyeshadows to be of extremely low quality. They crumbled in the cheap-feeling, flimsy compact, and came with a totally worthless applicator. The colors were very dull. I would never buy these again. — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

great value
These cost about $8 for three top-quality high pigmented shadows. I like to use a wet brush to intensify the color and these work well. I have the cherry/pink/light blue trio and it's wonderful. You get a lot of bang for your buck with these. I would rethink some of the color combinations. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Great Value
I got the trio in Dune which is a nice, classic soft shimmer nude pallete that brightens your eyes. It is well pigmented and lasts without creasing. The shadow itself is high quality and pretty. The palette was inexpesive. The actual plastic case is cheap and hard to open. The applicators are rough and the shadow is not sealed in any way, so make sure you open it to check before you buy a used one. — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Wonderful
The color selection is absolutely great. The three shades in the trio almost always work together. The quality is unbeatable for the price, rivals MAC. It's finely milled, silky smooth, and highly pigmented. Absolute must own. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

beautiful neutrals
these neutral colors are incredibly pigmented and easily blendable. i would suggest using a wet brush or a primer to make the shadows more pigmented and no creasing. — 10 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

WOW
NYX eyeshadows are comparable to MAC... The are velvety smooth, highly pigmented (a little goes a long way) and stay on!!! Plus, I think I only paid $9 for this palette. Super cheap! I won't be buying expensive eyeshadows anymore! — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 6 people said helpful

Amazing for the price
I have about 3 of these, and I really do love them. They've duped many high-end brand colors (for example, in the Nude/Taupe palette there's a dupe for Urban Decay's Bootycall, and Naked2) and they have such a nice feel. They're super buttery and go on smooth. They last a long time, and are pretty well pigmented, too. They lose a star for packaging though, as they come in a cheap looking plastic compact that's hard to open if you don't have long fingernails. Another goes for the applicator. Most people don't use the foam tip applicator that comes with the eyeshadow, but if you do, you'll be extremely disappointed with it. I totally recommend these, though. The product that you get is amazing, the color selection is huge, and they're only 8 dollars! — 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Sort of great
I bought this in 03 Nude/Taupe/Dark Brown online. If I had seen it in real life, I'd have passed. The nude and taupe colors are shimmery which I was not looking for. The nude has fairly good pigmentation. The taupe is useless. Barely there sheer color, no pigmentation and no staying power. The dark brown is the best matte rich pigmented color I have ever seen! I use it every day with a slanted brush as liner and it stays all day! So, "sort of" on the nude and "great" on the dark brown. — 5 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful
