My skin and I just turned 30

I live in a major city with major pollution and at the end of the day my face feels grimy dry and very uncomfortable. Washing up when I get home from work has become my meditative ritual. Nothing relaxes, refreshes, or recharges me better. But with the unseasonably cold and dingy weather my skin has really been going through a crisis. So, I decided it was time for some reinforcements. When I first applied the cream it seemed a bit intense like a slight burning sensation, but it soon gave way to a very cool minty feeling. I also noticed that my face now smelled like a cucumber salad. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. There is quite an impressive list of natural ingredients to account for that, such as grape seed oil, sake(?), black tea ferment, oat, some kind of root juice, cucumber fruit extract(of course), leaf extracts, flower extracts and a bunch of other goodies only a chemist or google-ist would understand. The cream is thick, velvety smooth not goopy, and oh so refreshing. It would be the perfect product to put on when your lounging by yourself on a hot "spa day" (I would also recommend having a mojito in this scenario). I left it on for the suggested 10 minutes and then rinsed it off with warm water. My skin felt very soft, slightly firmer and smooth, but not too tight or dry. I did notice a thin filmy feeling while rinsing but it's most likely just the moisturizers in the product. Usually after I wash my face I have to immediately apply a very thick lotion on my face or it will begin to dry out and flake. However, with this product it didn't dry out at all. I would still wear lotion (as it is written in the Beauty Ten Commandments), but a lightweight moisturizer would do just fine. I wish I could use this product every day, especially after a busy work day and the epic odyssey that is Houston traffic. But the label recommends only 2 to 3 times a week. And at around $90 bucks for a 3oz jar I will definitely be conserving. I love the way it left my skin not oily, greasy or dry. I can definitely tell with repeated use it will benefit my skin greatly. Enjoy! — 3 weeks, 6 days ago
